6 Ways to Hide Your Adam’s Apple

Comments (17)

I always say it’s the “subtle” things that give a girl away. That’s definitely true of an Adam’s Apple! This is one detail that can ruin your entire look.

Fortunately, there are some easy fixes that don’t require surgery. Here are my top 6 ways to hide your Adam’s Apple:

transgender feminization scarf1. Tie on a scarf.

Every TG woman should have a wardrobe of beautiful scarves. Tying a scarf around your neck not only hides an Adam’s Apple, it adds a flattering pop of color to your face. Problem solved!

2. Apply contouring makeup.

Dust blush or contouring powder 1-2 shades darker than your natural skin tone over the protruding area. Dark colors make an area look smaller, so this visually reduces the size of your Adam’s Apple.

3. Wear high collared tops.

High collared tops are great for hiding the side view of an Adam’s Apple. Look for a shirt with a ruffled collar for a soft, feminine look.

4. Try a choker.

Wearing a choker on top of your Adam’s Apple is a foolproof way to hide it – but only if you have a thin neck. Chokers make a thick neck look even thicker.

5. Wear a turtleneck.

What could be easier than covering your Adam’s Apple with a turtleneck? Turtlenecks work, but they also spotlight a square jaw or prominent chin. Avoid them if this is you.

6. Choose the right wig.

Long hair that curls around the neck makes an Adam’s Apple less visible from the side. Use contouring powder to tone down the front view of your Adam’s Apple and you’re good to go!

What are YOUR best tricks for disguising an Adam’s Apple? Let me know in the comments section below!

Love,
Lucille

One thing I do, just before a photo, is to swallow, hold the swallow, and smile. After the photo, I let that thing out, and in the deepest voice I can muster, I say “ah…could I have a copy of that?”. JK :)

Nice suggestions! I, personally, have found that a daily practice (usually during my a.m. excercises) of stretching my neck to the max and swivelling and twisting it has made it easier to maintain ‘en femme’. The stretching tends to cause the ‘Adam’s apple’ to give a minimal showing – besides making a normally masculine ‘bull’ neck look much thinner and more feminine.

Hi! I am quite fortunate that either I don’t have an Adams Apple, or its there but doesn’t show…….I guess its just one of a few femmy features that I have. Love the suggestions, and hope alot of CD’s will see it. I wear chokers just for their attractive sexy appeal. Scarves are a great suggestion as well. *hugs*

  16. Dee Donaghe (Animalette) says:

I have to say that Chokers are the most attractive and sexy way to hide and beautify at the same time. And for you girls that do not mind taking a walk on the wild side, there is an abundance of BDSM collars restraints and latex ware, that are very, very, nice! But it is had to beat the plain black velvet or soft leather choker, one inch to an inch an a half in width, with the single, nickel to dime size charm of some kind, hanging front and center. This helps to bring the appropriate attention to the clevage or breasts, rather than the adams apple. And I personally love the attention by clevage and breasts receive. I hope that my comment helps you girls out there. Remember stand tall and always be confident in who you are. All my love, Dee

I am lucky that I don’t really have much of an adam’s apple but I love the suggestions. I already wear a wig like the one pictures and think I’ll look for a choker like the one pictured above. Great suggestions!
