3 Feminine Movement Mistakes to Avoid

By Lucille Sorella

What’s the secret to being a super hot woman?

It’s not your hair, face, or even body shape. It’s all about your MOVEMENTS …

Maybe you’ve seen it yourself – the plain Jane woman whose sexy walk turns heads vs. the beautiful girl whose dude-like swagger is a major turnoff.

How feminine are YOUR movements? Do you still walk like a guy or have you gone overboard into drag queen territory?

Here are 3 feminine movement mistakes you need to avoid:

1. Over exaggerating your hip movements

Everybody knows that women sway their hips when they walk, but the biggest tipoff of an amateur is overexaggerated hip movements.

Don’t swing your hips around – instead, put on a pair of high heels. Heels cause your hips to sway without you having to force the movement. The key is to relax your body and go with the flow.

2. Being too stiff

Genetic males naturally have tenser bodies than women do. If your body is tense, your movements are going to look stiff and masculine.

The secret to fluid, feminine movements is to relax your body. Be careful not to tense your shoulders or lower back when you are “en femme.” It’s also super helpful to stretch and get massages to release built up tension.

3. Sticking your chest out

Arching your back and sticking your chest out might look sexy, but real women don’t walk around like that.

Instead, keep your back straight and pull your shoulders down and back. This makes you look confident and feminine, without looking ridiculous.

Now that you know what not to do, here’s a video demonstrating the RIGHT way to walk. Notice the straight posture, gently swinging hips, and relaxed movements:

How are YOUR feminine movements? Do you struggle with this or are you one of the lucky girls who are naturally graceful? Leave me your comments below!

Love,
Lucille

I noticed that when I relaxed that I had a natural feminine walk. And Lucille has been a big help in learning to relax and just be a lady. Much like her.

    Hugs, Lucille. =)

Awww – hugs to you, Janet! Thank you!

Oh and don’t forget – if you’re walking fem but not “en fem” and some bloke comments about your funny walk – just tell him that your back doctor/chiropractor told you that you were holding too much tension in your back trying to keep your hips and back rigid. People will understand just about anything if you’re doing it to avoid back pain.

Thank’s Lucille. I have been wearing high heels for over 20 years and my feminine walk comes very natural. I wish i could do it in public so i can get my whistles. I hope that day will come. Thank’s Love you.

      Lucille,

I found some amazing shoes which will help walking feminine- MBTs (Masai Barefoot Technology)
I originally bought them as part of my exercise /walking routine (I am rebuilding my health, my bone and muscle strength- because I did not transition earlier as recommended by the doctors for over 50 years! I have a body that demands a female harmone balance in addition to Gender Identity Disorder- Not shifting my balance much earlier has been both painful and costly- Finally, the doctors told me to Transition or Die!)
The MBTs have a very different design, and have online exercises at MBT-info.com. Prior to using MBTs I started wearing 2 2/4″ and 4″ heels. I often had to be careful both because of pain and balance. After walking and exercising with the MBTs for a week, I find that walking in heels is now easy. Also, combined with the Bombshell Body Workout and Yoga/Pilaties, I am now much more relaxed. My personal trainer had been emphasing releasing tension- The MBTs are helping me relax. Also, I tended to slump over before both because the hormone balance problem had led to bone problems in addition to my confidence. Working with the shift in hormones, the MBTs and my personal trainer has helped me to relax and straighten up.
Lucille, you have been a Godsend in all of this. I carefully follow all your recommendations.
A good example of this is my breast development which has startled both the personal fitter at the Breastform Store and my physician (She is transender- a Clinical Teaching Physician from UCSF who has gone through much of what I am going through- I am blessed to be under her.)
My current dimensions are 46″ (Breast), 36″ (Waist), and 42″ (Hips). I wear a 40D for exercise, a 42C normal, or a 44C with enhancers. Wow!
By the way, my health has come back remarkably well following your recommendations.
I am now moving into full transition.
I will send you pictures as soon as I can figure out how to do that online.

      Lord bless you- Love you-
      Chris (Christina) Poulsen

I am still learning how to walk and sway my hips as a female would but forty years of living as a male it is really hard and really difficult to get it.

    Hello Lucille –
Wonderful advice as always! This was one of the first aspects of being a woman that I had to learn – to relax and just be myself. The way you walk and carry yourself, in a relaxed and comfortable way, is no different than any other woman is. Thanks for the advice, you can never say and do enough!

    Hugs,

    Carla Anne

    • Lucille Sorella says:

Thanks, Carla!! I always love to hear from you. Yes, RELAX and be yourself! It really works. :-)

  6. Debbie says:

I find it easier to relax when I BELEIVE I am the woman I portray. It also makes me feel more feminine and I enjoy the whole experience much more. Doing it right also means more guys thinking dirty thoughts about what they want to do with me! Oh, I love that part ;)

  8. Jennifer Ann says:

I’m just getting starting in being female. I’ve always wanted to be a girl way back when I was 6 I knew girls were neet I want to be one. Unfortunately, even thro my mom (who did want a girl) sometimes dressed me up as a little girl, I didn’t continue that way. Now I am in my late 50’s and determined to become what I’ve always wanted to be, a woman. I look at women and I love the way they walk, talk, and dress, so here I am like a little girl all over again experiencing wonderful and delightful things. I know it will take me a while, but I know the woman in me will come out. Thanks for all your help. It means so much to me.

  10. Kelli Lynne Rossi says:

    Hello All!

I found that in addition to Lucille’s tips that if you turn your arms in the same direction as GG’s carry theirs it helps with the waist movement as well and it makes relaxing the body a little easier. Women carry their arms with their palms turned slightly toward the front of the body, like a 1/4 turn away from each side. It’s something guys have to make themself do. I do it all the time and it takes conscience effort to do it but it helps with my hip motion. I’ve been studying that women also have their feet turned to the outside when they walk in flats. I am experimenting with that too as to how it relates to hip sway. Perhaps someone will come up with an answer before I do. Just wanted to add this little tidbit FYI as to what I’ve found. Have a great rest of the weekend!

    Hugs to all,

    Kelli Lynne
