Poll: What’s Your Favorite Color to Wear En Femme?
CommentsDid you know that the colors you wear have a HUGE impact on the way people perceive you – especially when you are en femme?
Colors send out subconscious messages to people. For example, purple says “sexy and mysterious”, while pink says “feminine and romantic”.
The right colors can even make you look more passable!
Here are the meanings of 12 different colors:

White
White is associated with purity and simplicity. Wear white if you want to look pure, innocent, or even virginal.
Blue
Light blue send out messages of peace, trust, and understanding. Dark blue is associated with authority and masculinity (think police uniforms), so use this color sparingly. The best blues for TG women are light blue and baby blue.
Red
Red is the most intense color of all and is associated with passion, desire, love, and sexuality. Wear red only when you want to be noticed!
Green
Light green symbolizes freshness and youthfulness, while dark green is associated with money and ambition.

Purple
Purple communicates mystery, magic, and creativity. Wear purple if you want to look sexy and mysterious.
Black
Black is associated with power, elegance, and formality. Wear black if you want to look sophisticated and mysterious.
Pink
Pink is the color of love and romance. It’s the most feminine color, so be sure to incorporate lots of pink into your wardrobe.
Yellow
Yellow is the color of joy and energy. Wear yellow to show off your fun, playful side. Avoid yellow when you want to be taken seriously.

Orange
Like yellow, orange is associated with joy, enthusiasm, and attraction. This is a great color to wear when you want to liven things up.
Brown
Brown is a stable, wholesome, and down-to-earth color. Wear brown for mellow occasions or if you want to appear reliable and genuine.
Gray
Gray is great color to wear when you need to come across as professional and trustworthy. Too much gray can get boring though, so be sure to punch it up with some fun colors.
Beige
Beige is a simple, conservative color that’s friendly, approachable and non-threatening. It’s perfect for times when you want people to open up to you.
What’s YOUR favorite color to wear? Does this color match what you want the world to know about you?

Hello,
I have a question that I’ve been trying to figure out for a little while now… is it better to buy normal clothing from normal stores for women, or to buy cloths from stores specifically geared towards creating a feminine image? I would think that it’s be more natural to buy clothing intended for women to pass as a woman, than to purchase clothing for men designed to look feminine.
Thank you for your answer,
Dawn

My wardrobe used to be mainly black, but since I’ve added colour to it, it seems my fave is definitley purple!

Black, gray and red show up the best in pictures in winter. Blues, yellows and greens come Spring…
Besides black, purple red orange and bright yellow white. I like bright colors
There is something alluring about that little black dress…..
I love to wear purple… always have. For me it’s the perfect compliment to my feminine side, yet still says that I acknowledge my roots. Maybe that won’t make sense to all of my sister TG folks out there, but I know a few of you will catch my drift.

I chose black since most of my outfits have a black or dark blue background with assorted colored prints. I, also, would have liked to have a 3 or 4 color choice. I also like purple, light to medium blues, greens, and brown. Haven’t tried many other colors, because they seem a little to flambouyant for me.
I would like to get a color assessment to find what colors I might look best in. Haven’t done that yet. Have attempted to do it on my own but don’t know the descripters very well.
I tend to favor black. As I learn how to create a wardrobe, black always comes through, pairing a black skirt with a purple or green or red top, or verse visa, occasionally opting for a black top with a colored skirt or pants. I do have a favourite green dress, though. Shoes…now that’s where it always becomes tricky; color, style, heel height, ah, decisions.
Being a VERY tall girl at 6-5, I try to look as slender as possible (what girl doesn’t right?) and black will always do the trick. I also like different variations of reds and gold/browns … Being this tall makes it difficult no matter what I wear … God Bless ..
