Poll: What’s Your Favorite Color to Wear En Femme?
CommentsDid you know that the colors you wear have a HUGE impact on the way people perceive you – especially when you are en femme?
Colors send out subconscious messages to people. For example, purple says “sexy and mysterious”, while pink says “feminine and romantic”.
The right colors can even make you look more passable!
Here are the meanings of 12 different colors:

White
White is associated with purity and simplicity. Wear white if you want to look pure, innocent, or even virginal.
Blue
Light blue send out messages of peace, trust, and understanding. Dark blue is associated with authority and masculinity (think police uniforms), so use this color sparingly. The best blues for TG women are light blue and baby blue.
Red
Red is the most intense color of all and is associated with passion, desire, love, and sexuality. Wear red only when you want to be noticed!
Green
Light green symbolizes freshness and youthfulness, while dark green is associated with money and ambition.

Purple
Purple communicates mystery, magic, and creativity. Wear purple if you want to look sexy and mysterious.
Black
Black is associated with power, elegance, and formality. Wear black if you want to look sophisticated and mysterious.
Pink
Pink is the color of love and romance. It’s the most feminine color, so be sure to incorporate lots of pink into your wardrobe.
Yellow
Yellow is the color of joy and energy. Wear yellow to show off your fun, playful side. Avoid yellow when you want to be taken seriously.

Orange
Like yellow, orange is associated with joy, enthusiasm, and attraction. This is a great color to wear when you want to liven things up.
Brown
Brown is a stable, wholesome, and down-to-earth color. Wear brown for mellow occasions or if you want to appear reliable and genuine.
Gray
Gray is great color to wear when you need to come across as professional and trustworthy. Too much gray can get boring though, so be sure to punch it up with some fun colors.
Beige
Beige is a simple, conservative color that’s friendly, approachable and non-threatening. It’s perfect for times when you want people to open up to you.
What’s YOUR favorite color to wear? Does this color match what you want the world to know about you?

I love all colours but have more green than anything else I have kept my colours plain mostly green, black, but in the last two years have decided to star wearing more colours like lighter blues, yellows pinks & purples have also got more browns in my clothes range I’ve had to swap my male clothes & fem clothes around as to give my expanding fem clothes more room.
I love multiple-coloured printed dresses and tops with flower prints,or modern designer prints. And all shades of pink, red and blue.As for jeans colour,my favourite is the colour of thunder cloud,or sea wave colour. Also I like to create self-made clothes, buying white tops and t-shirts and turning them to printed with the use of forest flowers, sea stones and an old washing machine by special know-how.
Oh for those who don’t know me (HEY start posting on the forum!)
I am employed as a woman and have been 24/7 living female since July 3, 2007.
I seem to notice that I do a favorite color for a while then change to another. There is not a single color that is not in my wardrobe.
I wore mostly pink for a long time, then blue, then white, recently discovered black and bought some great black dresses, blouses and skirts, now seem to be into Lilac and Purple, just got a Lilac pair of shorts today, a pink lacey bra, and a mixed color skirt that has purple in it to match my purple top. I only got some green stuff lately (few months ago,) and was amazed at how good it looked on me as I had hardly ever worn green before.
My favourite colour is definitely black. It looks slimming and helps me blend in. At my age darker colours seem to work.
I have such a range of colors…blues,browns,pearl,beige..I call my normal hours of the day wear.Black and reds for evenings and nights of passion.I wear pinks and yellows for sleeping hours.iI just wear what feels good I have never been one to just commit to certain things.I just want to feel good and look good.I have never been so happy before as I am now..well for the last five years!!!! all my love…heather!!!
I love pink very much. I also like to wear orange, light blue, and brown. mostly i like to wear light colours.
I’m like Britney J in the respect I wish I could have chosen multiple colors. My attire is extremely important to me since I am “en femme” 24/7 as I have been full time for almost a year. It’s really hard to choose one color, since I love just about any color dress. Royal blue, red, purple, delicate floral prints and of course the “little black dress”..I love ‘em all…except orange…I wouldn’t be caught dead in orange! Guess that’s because my ex-wife’s best friend did a solo at church wearing this hideous orange dress…she looked like a grotesque pumpkin!!! I could hardly keep from lmao right in the middle of church!! I also wouldn’t be caught dead in a pair of pants…don’t even own any. After being forced to wear the blasted things for over half a century I totally refuse to wear pants!!
Being coordinated is all important..the shoes and bag totally must match!!! Even just a couple months after I began being female full time publicly I always had girls at work say ” Tracie, I can’t believe you haven’t been a woman all your life…your clothes are gorgeous and you are always perfectly coordinated!!” It’s vitally important for me to be as fashion perfect at work as I possibly can as I work for one of the country’s largest banks…even an “evil bill collector” has to look pretty!! It makes my heart leap with joy when some of the young 20 something GGs at work want me to take them shopping. Imagine that..me a 56 year old “grannie trannie” and these young hotties want my fashion advice.
One thing I’ve learned…being a girl is way more expensive than being a guy…but it’s sooo much more fun! Guess I’m kinda high maintaince as I spend about $150.00 a month at the salon for my nails alone. Girls, don’t forget to generously tip your nail girl and hair artist…ya get whatcha pay for!!!
One thing I learned early on. A true trans woman doesn’t have to “pass”. You ARE a woman…what do you have to “pass” as…a man? Ladies, it’s 1% appearance and 99% confidence. If you think of yourself as a trans woman in transition..not really a woman yet..then that’s what others will percieve you as. If you know with all your heart, mind and soul that you ARE a woman..think of yourself as a woman…accept yourself as a woman…then that is what others will percieve.
May your journey be even more blessed than mine…
Tracie
