Poll: Do You Travel En Femme?

By Lucille Sorella

stewardessI’m here in the Colorado Rockies putting the finishing touches on “The Ultimate En Femme Fashion Guide”. I needed to get away to clear my mind and FOCUS.

The other thing I love about traveling is that it lets me reinvent myself. Nobody knows me here and nobody is ever going to see me again, so I can be whoever I want to be.

That got me wondering …

Do you travel en femme? Obviously, I’m not talking about going through airport security in your falsies! I’m talking about unleashing your female side in a new place where nobody knows you. (It doesn’t have to be far – going to a different city in your home state counts, too!)

Take my poll and let me know! And tell me about your femme travel adventures in the comments section below.

Love,
Lucille

I only travel by car, as I don’t go anywhere far from home. But being full time and stubborn to boot, I would not not will I ever go anywhere as a male. In fact I have gotten rid of part of the male equipment.

  2. Kristine says:

I love to go out in public En Femme including musicals & concerts which is
where I can get more dresses up in elegant clothing.

  3. Rhonda says:

I haven’t thought about it. But now that you mention it. .
It would be a great challange for me to do. I’m not a young man so passing might be easier than I thought ppl don’t pay much attention to an older lady. Unless of course she is acting up or dressed gawdy or something.
Thank you for the poll. I appreciate your letters as well as your site. Keep up the gr8t work. Rhonda

  4. Amandae (Mandy) Edwards says:

Yes I travel En Femme I have come to San Francisco some 200 miles south of Redding Ca. and am in the V.A. hospital with an heart condition and am living full time here in the hospital. My Dr. is talking of going HRT while here because I’m not allowed to use my herbs while in the hospital. This will be probably the one time I write to you other than when you have an poll as I can not access the forum I can read all I wish to but can log in for some reason and can send any of my own thoughts.

  5. Dawnelizabeth says:

I tend to go out in public a great deal of time in a city 50 miles away. No one knows me and I can be as brash or conservative as I wish. The freedom to be who I am is so wonderful, especially when a sales clerk calls me “Miss”

I just love wearing heels and tight jeans with a crop jacket and pink top when i go shopping to my local Asda(walmart in USA) which is eight miles from where i live. I also love taking skirts and dresses to try into the booths, i look to see if anyone gives a damm but mostly people just ignore me(which is not what i really want) keep up the good work girls, Love Penny

i like the information that you have been giving to us girls and i thank you for being there for us.

I had breast augmentation this year and the doctor was happy to see how well developed i was when i seen him the first time. so now i am a C and i just love it.

I always worried about how friends and family would react but i found the ones that love me and the others really don’t matter do they. i have a lot of good friends that love me and i am happy for that.

  9. Danyelle Rene says:

Of course I travel as a woman, but not because no one would know me, but rather because I am myself wherever I go. I love my look (which I work hard at) as well as being comfortably me–which means I thoroughly enjoy being a woman in all my surroundings.

  10. Linnea C. Nydatich says:

to do it again it is necessary for me to practice more on my femenine attitude and go back with my friend she promesed me we will do it again and hope will be soon.

  13. Kim Martin says:

Something just dawned on me that I dont have any self photos of me in public, it seems that there is allways someone else in the photo.
Most times I do travel dressed enfem (very few people have ever seen my male side) and sometimes I apply all of my makeup along with my jeans, heels and and top (no wig) at home and wear sunglasses, that way all I have to do is apply lip stick and wig and voila all ready for the real world

I dress when possible on a free evening during business trips away, and I have driven by car for hundreds of miles en femme from door to door including fuel and food stops. Wonderful feeling. I recommend it. Just drive your “dependable car”…

  16. Kaylee Lynn says:

I don’t travel much, but when I do at least part of the time is spent en femme. Shopping in a new town is always so much fun.

yes i have traveled many places en femme by car and have the truckdrivers blowing ther horn and some even want to talk to me on the cb what fun huh???coket

  18. Shyatessa says:

I was wearing nail polish, skirt, blouse, & sandals to visit relatives & was in a motor vehicle accident. My back was broken. I just returned home after 3 months recovery & I find wearing a skirt way more comfortable than trousers with my back brace. I can actually use the restroom without removing the brace. Also skirts are much more comfortable when I must lie down – not so many seams, rivets, pockets, & folds as trousers.

  20. Laurie says:

I’ll try to capsulize my many years of running around in public enfemme so as to not write a book. :-)

I have traveled by car dressed across 4 states with frequent stops for fuel, stopped at rest stops where the WOMEN’s rest room was a waiting line, all without a problem.

Oregon won’t let you pump your own gas. I got out to stretch and the female attendant appeared, since I make no effort sound femmy, she slipped and called me sir. She was most embarrassed. I said, “No problem! I’m just a guy in a dress having fun.” She laughed said that’s great.

I’ll throw in here that most women think it’s great….if you aren’t theirs.

Another instance in my home town at a store where I was en homme, I have long hair and three earrings in each ear. The checkout line was long and another female cashier appeared and said, “Maam can I help you over here.” I was not facing her. She was most embarrassed, all I could say was, “No Problem”, while thinking this is so easy and I wasn’t even trying. If she only knew…………..

    Enough for now.

  22. Carolyn says:

    Lucille,
I frequently go out and about, sometimes to my hairdresser, sometimes just to get a sandwich or something. If I am going shopping I really play it down jeans and a simple top. I haven’t tried on any clothes while shopping, but I’ve got that on my mind. I’d like to buy a really nice dress and have it fit, I figure if I’m willing to spend a $100 or more for a dress I really should try it on before I buy it. There is a group of us girls that meet once a month at a hotel for dinner and some fellowship, kind of nice to be out with some other girls every once in a while just for fun. A number of years back I went out of town and got my hair done and the girl at the shop never said a thing to me, but had called the police and they were waiting for me outside. That was a little embarassing, but the officer was very proffessional, checked my ID and sent me on my way. For the most part I really don’t have any problems going out dressed except picking out the right outfit, that can really be a chore sometimes. You always want to look nice and at the last minute you decide to change your look, now that can be a problem. I’ve really been enjoying your e-mails and look forward to seeing what comes up next, thanks for sharing your secrets and tips

    Carolyn
