Poll: Do You Travel En Femme?
By
I’m here in the Colorado Rockies putting the finishing touches on “The Ultimate En Femme Fashion Guide”. I needed to get away to clear my mind and FOCUS.
The other thing I love about traveling is that it lets me reinvent myself. Nobody knows me here and nobody is ever going to see me again, so I can be whoever I want to be.
That got me wondering …
Do you travel en femme? Obviously, I’m not talking about going through airport security in your falsies! I’m talking about unleashing your female side in a new place where nobody knows you. (It doesn’t have to be far – going to a different city in your home state counts, too!)
Take my poll and let me know! And tell me about your femme travel adventures in the comments section below.
Love,
Lucille

Yes Lucille
Living 24/7 since last May everywhere I go I go femme. Shopping, out to eat, visiting friends, paying bills, etc.
The only travel I haven’t tried yet is flying. I’m not sure how that will work out with all the restrictions post 9/11.
But being I need to visit friends and family in New England and currently living in Florida. I know I’ll have to cross that bridge/hurdle at some point.
Just having moved back to my Florida home in Oct. I know it won’t happen this year due to economics of a fixed income and moving expenses. But maybe sometime after the New Year.I’ll let you know how it goes when it happens.
Always

I do travel out often en-femm. I’ve gone away for wknds entirely in femm mode and to ensure it IS a totally feminine wknd I don’t bring any male clothing
Hello Lucille,
Yes, I travel always en femme … I have crossed the US – Canadian border numerous times by car and I have flown numerous times on domestic as well as on international flights between Canada, the US and Europe… I have rented cars, checked in and out hotel rooms, went to restaurants, dealt with the TSA on airports, went shopping in many foreign cities, you name it, I’ve done it… And NO, I don’t bring not even one piece of male clothing with me, when traveling…
I also go dancing every weekend at my favorite hangout, which is an extremely popular and busy brewpub with live music, in the downtown area…
I am on hormone replacement therapy and well on my way to complete M2F transition. To qualify for funding for my Sexual Reassignment Surgery, (SRS), I have to provide documented proof that I have been living full time as a woman for one entire year. And I am working presently on fulfilling that requirement.
I have never, ever encountered any problems while traveling en femme… Despite the fact that I have an European passport, the dealings with the airlines and the TSA on US airports were flawless. They are professional and extremely correct. The TSA officers and flight attendants always addressed me with Ma’am and I even got offered a drink on one of my flights by a guy turned admirer who was traveling in the business class…
A great advantage of traveling en femme is the gallantry of the guys that are traveling in the same aircraft. I have, for instance, never had to put my carry on bag into the overhead bin… There were always a few guys waiting to help me with that, on every single flight I was on, whether I was coming or going…
And, with my 6′-1″ bare stocking feet height and on my beloved 3-1/2″ heels, I cannot be missed and I catch a lot of attention… Once, while boarding the aircraft, I had to duck down because I was too tall to pass straight up under the door opening and I got caught with my heels into one of the rails in the floor and made quite an entrance… All those people already sitting there and having nothing else to do but watching those who are boarding… so you can imagine how embarrassed I felt… My one heel got jammed into the rail and a crew member came to my assistance to pry the shoe out of the rail… always addressing me as Ma’am…
Sometimes, in stores, staff will slip and address me as “sir”… I than immediately stop them in their tracks and ask them whether I am dressed as a girl or a guy… Usually, they apologize right away and a relaxed conversation follows…
It sometimes happens also while browsing in stores, that people browsing in the same area stare at me… I usually approach them right away and confide to them that it is hard work being a girl and they usually break out in a smile and say they agree… I have made many (genetic) female friends that way…
In my experience it is all in your attitude… If you behave like you belong there and claim your space as the woman you feel you are, people will respect you… and traffic will stop long before you step on the cross walk, guys hurry in front of you to open the mall entrance door for you and they give you precedence where ever you run into one… Including the teen age guys and gals that seem to populate every mall… Many a time when passing one of those groups, they complimented me on my appearance… Even if you are towering over all of the female population and most of the male ones too…
On the pictures, you’ll see me sitting in my favorite hangout, the brewpub, I am the one waiving… On the other picture you see me sitting in an airplane and on the last one you see me dressed as I usually am when I go shopping into town…
I hope that my contribution may encourage those who are still sitting on the fence, to come out in the open. Go there where many women are, like in a busy mall, that is your best bet to start with… Don’t go anywhere where a woman alone wouldn’t go… Than you’ll be asking for trouble…
So far my two bits.. Have fun girls!
Dita.
Before I started your program, my girlfriend and I took a trip to Montreal where we stayed at a lesbian bed and breakfast in the Latin quarter/ Gay village area. We went out several nights dressed up and attended our hosts’ New Year’s party that way too. Shopping was great. The male staff at le Chateau clothing store were eager to suggest dresses and tops for me.
Now that my breasts are growing in and I am eliminating my facial hair, my confidence is increasing so I hope to do more things en femme.
Last weekend, I went to a straight psychedelic dance party in a dress. I felt more out of place for being so much older than everybody than because I was in a dress, but the kids were great at making me feel welcome.
Yes, as soon as I get through airport security I find a place and put on my bra, panties, low heel shoes, lipstick and sometimes makeup. TSA doesnt care what you take into the terminal, only that you look like your picture.

I have been to Mexico twice for facial feminization work. I spent my entire time there appropriately dressed. I went sight seeing, made new friends, and shopped from morning to night. I never had any problems.
