Do you love wearing dresses? I sure hope you do! There’s nothing quite as enjoyable as putting on a sexy, feminine dress.
With so many choices available, from mini dresses to gowns, you might be wondering which dress styles are best for crossdressers and trans women.
The key is to choose a dress that both flatters and feminizes your figure – while making you feel great!
In this blog post, I’ll share my top 5 dress picks for crossdressers and transgender women.
1. Empire Waist Dress
Empire waist dresses feature a raised waistline that falls just below the bust. This style is perfect for concealing a fuller midsection while elongating the look of the legs.
2. Cinched Waist Dress
A classic, feminine style, cinched waist dresses add fullness around the hips while defining the look of the waist.
3. Peplum Dress
A peplum is a short, gathered “overskirt” attached to the waist of a garment. It’s one of my favorite dresses for crossdressers and transgender women because it creates instant, flattering curves.
4. Wrap Dress
Another one of my favorites, the wrap dress is universally flattering. The plunging neckline helps slim the look of the torso while the tie enhances your waistline.
5. Mini Dress
Crossdressers and transgender women tend to have gorgeous legs. It’d be a crime not to flaunt them in short dresses – at least every now and then! As long as you choose a tasteful style, there’s no “age limit” to wearing a mini dress.
Let’s see YOUR best dress!
Of course, your dress options are endless and these 5 styles are only the beginning. A girl can never have too many dresses!

Little white dress that I love
I love this dress! Never thought I’d like something so daring but it’s actually quite sexy and femme friends and family do like me in it!
Lucille this is really interesting because most of these are what I naturally most are drawn to. I have a genetic condition meaning my body naturally makes very few sex hormones, so I’ve always had a very little slender gender neutral body (my muscularity never developed for example, so before oestrogen mine was a very much still a child’s shapen body. So I’m getting a bit of a bum and small breasts with oestrogen but I’ll never be curvy. So I’m always looking for things that flare a waist; I’m wearing an empire waist dress at the moment with a pretty bow belt under the bust to make me look a little bigger up top. I actually enjoy having to emphasize my curves through clothing – love fabrics and their colors and feel. I’m especially fond of peplums and flounces. Much of my wardrobe has flounced necklines- the flounce reminds me of beautiful natural forms like flower petals and sepals, or the gorgeous “peplum fin” that adorns the edge of a cuttlefish’s body (i am passionate about sea life and diving). xxxx Selene
PS the one exception to your list Lucille is the mini. I wear them because i come from Berlin and designers here tend to pair the styling i like with short skirts. But I would rather knee length – it’s just a proportion thing – i don’t feel exposed in a mini (since they’re extremely common where I live).
Drive the semi all the time so this is comfortable
just 1 of my favorites as I have several favorite dresses
