Mine would be Neo-Aspect by Roselia (Japanese)
Neo-Aspect lyrics translation:
The dazzle of the beauty of life
In this melody that was spun is the path to being born
Believe me this is the right way.
Where has the light disappeared to?
It’s as if I was getting dragged away
As my stretched out hand remains unable to grab hold of anything
I couldn’t breathe properly as I sang
My lips that became cold grew silent.
Into(darkness…darkness…)
I feel (loneliness…loneliness…)
Your voice… The instant it touched the back of my heart
(Find a way…Find a way…)
I know (loved one…loved one…)
Hold hands once more
Surely, you feel frustrated, pitiful
and you’re crying. I’m here.
I’ll hold the door open
I hold you…
Beautiful prouder
So, Beautiful braver
So, Beautiful brighter
With pride held high (I want to play)
Ah…on stage
Sing away ! Sing away !
Bewitch them with your new form
Wo wo wow…
You’re pretending not to hear
You didn’t turn around
So wouldn’t get crushed by your emotions
In that time, without knowing,
Your will got swallowed and has started fading
I will(go ahead…go ahead…)
This is(destiny…destiny…)
Your eyes… There is a lighted world behind your eyes
(Find a way…Find a way…)
You know (brightness…brightness…)
Once more time, Let’s start it now.
Surely, even if it’s painful, frustrating
Even if you stumble, I’ll be by your side
I will keep the door open
I got you…
Along with your dreams, along with your words
Along with your thoughts, running up (I want to convey this)
Ah…on stage
Only one!Only one!
Go around with this feelings of yours.
Each piece of this song, piece by piece, I will sing it like it’s embracing you
Existence Stay alive…Stay alive…
This moment Stay alive…Stay alive…
I want to feel you all strongly
Surely, you feel frustrated, pitiful
and you’re crying. I’m here.
I’ll hold the door open
I hold you…
Beautiful prouder
So, Beautiful braver
So, Beautiful brighter
With pride held high (I want to play)
Ah…on stage
Sing away ! Sing away ! Sing !
Wo wo wow!
More ! Sing away ! Sing away !
Bewitch them with your new form
Wo wo wow…
Numbers 4 and 8 would be my choices but also some regard to number 3.
Number 4 “I Enjoy Being Girl” I heard when I was young and always felt the song referred to me personally. It always gives me a warm feeling when I hear it and is the first to ever have a feminine effect on me. I saw ‘Flower Drum Song’ which the song came from when I was young and saw it at Harrah’s Tahoe in the South Shore Room when it was touring the nation. That was back in the 1960s. I was fascinated with I Enjoy Being A Girl cuz of the feeling it gave me and will always remain my favorite.
Number 8 “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” is my second favorite of all time. I got to see Cyndi Lauper at a Reno Hotel Casino a few years back.
Number 3 “Man I Feel Like A Woman” by Shania Twain is about girls going out together to have a good time which I have done with some of my girlfriends as we got madeup and dolled up and went out to TG friendly gay drag bars and nightclubs.
I did not see “Take A Walk On The Wild Side” by Lou Reed, which is a song that I can relate to from personal experience.
In the 1970s I was a cocktail waitress in a gay drag nightclub and sometimes when one of the entertainers was off sick one of us ‘girls’ would be asked to fill in on stage and do a lip sync/pantomime of a song.
I had to do this a few times and my first song that I would move my lips and dance to was “I Enjoy Being A girl”. If I was asked to fill up more time my second number was “Diamonds Are A Girl’s Best Friend”. Those two I practiced so I could do them well but if I had to do it again my second number would be “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” which had not been done at that time
