There are a lot of details that go into creating an attractive feminine image. From clothing and hair to makeup and shoes – the list can seem endless!
If you’re a crossdresser or transgender woman preparing for your male to female makeover, you’re in the right place.
To help you stay organized, I’ve crafted a simple Flawless Feminine Image Checklist.
Can you confidently answer “YES” to these 10 questions?
If you can, you’re all set to showcase your fabulous feminine self to the world!
10 Elements of a Flawless Feminine Image
1. Is your shapewear helping to enhance your feminine curves?
Your body’s silhouette powerfully communicates your gender identity to the world. Are you using the right undergarments to achieve your ideal feminine shape?
Here are some recommended items to have in your wardrobe:
- Breast forms
- A properly fitting bra
- Waist cincher or shaping camisole
- Padded panties with butt and hip padding
- Control top pantyhose or tights
While you don’t need to wear all of these pieces at once, they’re good to have on hand in case you want to enhance your shape to match a specific outfit.
2. Are you wearing stylish and flattering clothes that suit your body shape?
Selecting the right clothing is crucial to achieving a polished look. Opt for stylish and flattering clothes that complement your body shape and personal style.
Understanding your body proportions will help you choose outfits that not only fit well but also enhance your femininity.
3. Does your makeup look natural, well-balanced, and attractive?
A common makeup mistake, especially for those just starting their male-to-female makeup journey, is going overboard. When presenting as a woman, it’s important to avoid this error.
In most cases, a light and natural makeup look is the way to go. However, there are two exceptions to keep in mind:
- If you have darker coloring, you can opt for deeper and bolder shades.
- When heading out for an evening event, you can embrace higher-intensity makeup to suit the occasion.
4. Is your skincare routine giving you a clear and radiant complexion?
A clear and radiant complexion is the foundation of any feminine image. Develop a skincare routine tailored to your skin type that includes cleansing, moisturizing, and sun protection.
Regular exfoliation and hydration will leave your skin glowing and ready to showcase your makeup skills.
5. Does your hairstyle flatter your face shape with a feminine touch?
Beautiful hair is an important part of your overall image. To soften masculine facial features, choose a hairstyle with soft waves or layers. Stay away from angular styles.
Shiny hair makes you look sexy and youthful, so use a smoothing serum if you have dry or frizzy hair. I like Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Anti-Frizz Serum for Frizzy, Dry Hair.
If you wear a wig, be sure to wash it regularly and use a finishing spray like Bonfi Natural Oil-Free Wig Shine Spray.
6. Do you exude confidence and poise through your body language and gestures?
Confidence is the key to a flawless feminine image. Work on exuding confidence and poise through your body language and gestures.
Stand tall, maintain eye contact, and move gracefully. Confidence is not only attractive but also empowering.
7. Have you been practicing a feminine voice and communication skills?
Perfecting a feminine voice and honing your communication skills are essential aspects of your transformation.
Seek guidance from voice coaches or speech therapists to help you achieve a voice that aligns with your feminine image.
Effective communication is the bridge that connects your inner self with the world.
8. Are your nails well-groomed and looking their best?
Your hands and nails are often noticed, so keeping them well-groomed is essential.
Regular manicures, proper nail care, and choosing feminine nail colors can enhance your overall image.
9. Are you wearing jewelry and accessories that complement your outfit?
Accessorizing can elevate your outfit and add a personal touch to your style. Choose jewelry and accessories that complement your clothing and express your unique taste.
From statement necklaces to elegant earrings, the right pieces can complete your look beautifully.
10. Are you embracing your unique femininity and staying true to yourself?
Above all, remember to embrace your unique femininity and stay true to yourself.
Your journey is about self-expression and authenticity. Be proud of who you are, and let your inner beauty shine through!
In Conclusion
If you answered “yes” to each of the questions on this checklist, then congratulations! Now it’s time to step out and enjoy your flawless feminine image.
Be sure to keep this checklist handy so you can refer to it each time you present yourself as a woman.
As always, I’d love to hear your thoughts. Is there anything you would add to this list? Please share your comments below!

I have a problem with 2 tattoo’s from when I was in the Navy on my forearms
What a wonderful list of objectives for any cross dresser, especially the “newbies.” If one can do even two-thirds of the items on the list, they are on their way to a feminine image. Been there and done that! Thanks for posting the information.
I totally agree with Carollyn….the list is a must to tape on your vanity to view before you go out and about…
If I only knew about the Top 10 list when I started dressing 35 years ago, I would have been much more advanced the first few years…until the internet came along. The girls now days have it all at their finger-tips.
Hey Carollyn O.:
Another good look on you. You are a fabulous as always.

Thanks for the nice compliments on my picture from last week. I found the sweater and shoes at Ross, where I never shop, for $22. What a steal! Here’s another photo. Hugs, Carollyn
I always look forward to your blog. This is me getting ready to go out to diner in Chicago with friends. I wish I had a picture of the outfit I was wearing to fly from San Francisco via Atlanta to Columbus. It saved me a lot of problems. Long story short. On the escalator in Atlanta. the guy in front of me sat down on the bottom step. I flipped over him and landed on my back. My heavy knee length skirt was up when I came to. But everything was still covered. My long coat protected me from serious damage…I think.
Yes to all the questions! Never step out until I have everything the way I want to be to present the women I am!!!!
biggest problem I have is keeping my masculine arms covered, so many beautiful dresses are sleeveless.
Tina :
As always you look Fabulous!
I swim daily, 1 hour. I have played drums over 65 yrs ( I ‘m 71 ).my arms have always been a factor. Played all sports & developed arms. See in these photos what I have found. ..shrugs of different styles & materials… maybe you agree?
GET BACK TO ME. ..T.J.
yes that is my trouble over developed muscles and prominent surface veins, it’s ok in the colder months to wear jumpers/cardigans but it’s the summer months when it would be nice to wear sleeveless outfits. I have a collection of bolero tops that I wear which seems to solve the problem.
Honey you look fab. You look like you have nothing to worry about with your arms. Trust me as an ex body builder i know big arms that cannot be hidden.
I get it didnt mean to minimize what you are feeling. You look fad
thank you, but it’s all about self image really, if my arms are on show I don’t feel right.
please tell me , what is your opinion about my Feminine Image ?
Your face looks remarkable. Did you have FF surgery to soften the appearance of your face? And of course, to compliment the hard work on the torso! Good job.
Mike

I spent my first full day out as Robyn, it was amazing. Thank you Lucille for all your great advice everyone said I looked great and I was able to portray all the other elements of being feminine. Walking, sitting, smiling, eye contact, and acting feminine. Still working on the voice but that has been the hardest for me. I just wanted to say thank you for everything you post it helps out so much. Love and kisses Robyn.
