Traveling opens up new perspectives and can be especially freeing if you’re a crossdresser or transgender woman.
When you take a trip, it’s a chance to express your feminine self without the routines and expectations of everyday life.
Being your true self in a fresh, unfamiliar place can feel incredibly empowering!
Considering all the benefits of taking a transgender or crossdressing vacation, I’d love to know: Do YOU travel en femme?
Take my poll and share your MTF travel experiences or dreams in the comments!
Love,
Lucille

I have traveled numerous time en femme and was a secretary for over a week at a business driving to and from work. While it was a bet (I lost on purpose LOL), it was still wonderful and after a while the staff even started thinking of me as the woman at the front desk.
My travels en femme have been in my car and have been great for my confidence. Going out locally has been much easier as a result.
I don’t get to travel often. But my favorite En Femme story would be traveling down the interstate about a year ago, I was wearing a tee shirt and shorts. I passed a semi and he blew his horn at me. I know, that’s a small thing. But it gave me more confidence than anything else has.
I’ve been coast to coast and love to travel en femme. I have even crossed the border into Canada and been to Montreal. Next I want to go on a cruise and then fly!
Unless you have a female passport (lucky you!), you have to cross the border in your male persona. I know from experience that the US border people may give you a hard time if they discover you have female clothing, etc. in your luggage. I was made to go inside for questioning by a very irate female officer who acted like she was talking to a very nasty criminal instead of a mild-mannered, middle aged, squeaky clean, tg guy. “Why do you have women’s clothes and very few male clothes…mm?” she demanded in an accusing voice as she eyed me suspiciously and proceeded to ransack my car for non-existent contraband. It was not a pleasant experience. Luckily, I was able to prove that I was attending Fantasia in Cape Cod and the nice, but amused, male officer managed to calm her down enough to reluctantly allow me to go my way. Otherwise, I might still be in Gitmo Bay! 🙂 It’s just my experience…and I still love the USA. I don’t know what experiences US tg people have had crossing into Canada …be interested to learn.

P.S. I always travel with a female companion now when I cross the border and that seemed to do the trick. I guess they just assume that all the female clothes belong to her.
Cheers, Ronae
Maybe someday. Once I get my makeup application to a point where I am good at it then I would like to try traveling somewhere en femme.
I dress en femme all the time. Life is so much nicer as a girl. I haven’t travelled overseas but trave a lot internally without a problem.
Just do it and enjoy!
Hi Sally,
Well, I would think you could travel about easily, you are very beautiful, so passible. Have fun.

Hello Ronae,
Thank you for your lovely compliment. I am having a lot of fun.
I’ve gone to other town near by shopping and various things, but have never flown any where yet.
I travel as Dani as often as I can – usually twice a week and go out several times to clubs, dining, etc. – and it really doesn’t matter where I go. I publish plenty of pictures of this to my FB page. Most of the time, I’m a casual girl – tight jeans, blouse, sweater, flats, etc….a few times, like yesterday, I was pretty dolled up (blouse, skirt, or dress and heels).
In all cases where I’ve gone through, I present my ID and ticket…and that is all. The TSA (in the US) is very, very good with the trans community. Their facial recognition standards are very good and they deal with known travelers very nicely.
The ONLY time there is EVER an issue is if your ID doesn’t match your time. Never, ever allow this to happen. You’ll spend 3 hours with a supervisor explaining stuff. And, if you get irate in the process, you might as well turn around and go home – you’ll not get thru.
The security process will be as PAINLESS as YOU want it to be so long as your ID and ticket names match – regardless of which you travel with.
Lucille is spot on – this is a great chance to doll up, strut and be noticed. When I’ve dolled up and travel, it is the most rewarding experience. It’s very uplifting. Other times, I travel dressed down (still as a girl) and blend in with the crowd. It is excellent practice for your lady skills.
