Age is a popular topic around here and I’m occasionally asked…
“Am I too old to crossdress?” or “Am I too old to transition as a transgender woman?”
My response?
NO, of course not!
Whether you are a so-called mature crossdresser – or an older MTF woman beginning her transition – it is NEVER too late to be your true female self.
I believe that the true desires or your heart are meant to be expressed – no matter how long they’ve been buried.
Is it true that your age may have an impact on hormone therapy or surgery? Yes, that’s possible. But a good doctor will guide you on your best and safest options.
The fact remains that you can transition and/or present yourself as a woman at any point in life.
In fact, embracing your feminine side can give you a whole new lease on life…
I see it all the time: People seem to grow years younger when they make the decision to be themselves fully.
Having the courage to express your true self also inspires others to do the same. The world needs more of this!
In the words of Laverne Cox:
“It is revolutionary for any trans person to choose to be seen and visible in a world that tells us we should not exist.”
I’ll say it again: You are NEVER too old to be your true female self.
So, I encourage you to take that next step and do whatever it is that you’ve been holding back on.
You deserve it. And it’s not too late!
Do you agree that age is just a number?
Now I’d love to hear from YOU on this topic…
How old were you when you decided to fully embrace your female self? (Or are you still waiting?)
Let’s continue the conversation in the comments below!

I decided this year to start transitioning, I just turned 34. I am about to start hormones after I talk to a therapist.
Your commentary is very welcomed. I’ve struggled with the issue, but your encouragement has mitigated the resistance and I’m expanding my femme horizons.
Thank you.
Celeste
I have chosen to start this year, I just turned 34. I’ll be talking with a therapist soon to get started on hormones.
My crossdressing has been extremely limited. I did a little when I was a kid, a little bit as a teenager and tried it fully in my young twenties. Then, I don’t know, I just stopped and would only wear panties occasionally. Over the last year though, I have really wanted to try again, but have felt old and not very feminine and felt it would be worthless to try. Reading this post kinda made me think I should try again.
I am 69 and I started going out when I was 60. By now I am officially female in my documents and live full time as the woman I feel I have always been. I haven’t had any surgical changes and can easily be recognized as a born male (biometric data, no wig fits my head), though thanks to phytohormons I have developed breasts. But I don’t care and live in public as a woman with overwhelmingly positive reactions from other people excepting my mother and sister.
im 64 years young and i have been crossdressing since i was 4 and i love to feel like a total woman
I am 68 cross dress full time at home and take any opportunity to go out en femme where acceptable. My highlights are to go on cruises and be full time en femme.
Whan is Your next cruise to what country?
I am also intresting to meet You.
Kisses,
Gerry
