The fastest way to transform your image as a transgender woman or crossdresser is to change your hairstyle.
Whether you wear a wig or style your own natural hair, your hairstyle speaks volumes about your female self.
What does your hairstyle say about YOU?
Keep reading to find out!
Straight Hair
Straight, frizz-free hair shows that you’re a perfectionist who likes to be in control. Straight hair is beautiful and elegant, but it can also make you appear a bit serious and unapproachable.
Wavy Hair
Wavy hair is an ultra-feminine hairstyle that reflects a woman who is creative and confident. Loose waves give off a free-spirited vibe, while glamorous waves shout “bombshell.”
Curly Hair
Women with curly hair are perceived as fun-loving and a bit wild. Passionate and big-hearted, they can also be seen as drama queens.
Bob Cut
Bob cuts are trendy and stylish. They reflect a woman who is powerful and assertive, but who still likes to look great and make a statement.
Bangs
Bangs add a youthful, feminine touch to any hairstyle. Women with bangs are seen as fun and flirtatious.
Short Hair
Short hair says you’re a carefree woman who doesn’t like to fuss over things. It also reflects confidence since you don’t need to hide behind your hair.
And in case you are wondering, YES! Short hair can look feminine. See this post on 3 Tips for Feminizing Short Hair to learn more.
Long Hair
Long hair is a classic symbol of femininity and gives off a romantic, seductive vibe. However, it can look “cheap” if it’s damaged or fake-looking.
Shoulder Length Hair
Shoulder-length hair is the most versatile hairstyle. It shows that you know how to strike a balance between your serious and seductive sides. You’re a bit of a chameleon, which is a great quality to have!

Hi all of you brave women,
I have been long and wavy, brown and blonde, but now I am delighted to be short and gray. It so fits my age and matches my hair color perfectly. What little I have of it. 🙂
Love to you all,
Sarah
Sarah…I would have put you in your mid to late 50’s in that beautiful blue dress.
You really look amazing.

STUNNING!
Thanks
Sarah,
I always think I need to ” Look my Age!”.
I have strayed from that over the past yrs.
At 74 in October, I have been out in public since the 1960’s.
I have 4 wigs, the red is my favor.
You look fabulous in this wig, but you are beautiful in any one you choose, to fit your mood that day.
Love to you sister…Dr. T.J.
I’m 74 too

Shoulder length. I’m a little older and recently begun HRT, so I’m hoping I’ll get a bit of a hair growth and lent boost from that. I tend to have it down like I’m my photo (excuse the lack of expression – this was one done professionally for a new passport since I legal name and gender). If I had longer hair I’d probably tend to use it more for more interesting updos. I love playing with buns and braids – my bun tends to be ok, but is a bit of a poor little thing in comparison with many updos I see. I’d love to have enough for a big French roll or to coil a long braid into something pretty. Selene

My natural hair is about 18″ long, and naturally wavy. I usually just pull it back with a wide bar or a band. In hot weather, I put it in a high ponytail or bun. Sometimes, if I want it loose, I wear what my British friend calls an”Alice” band. You know – like Alice In Wonderland. That’s enough to keep it out of my eyes or food. 🙂
