Do you dream of having a curvy hourglass figure? If so, it’s all about the hips!
Fortunately, there are several ways to achieve feminine hips as a crossdresser or transgender woman, including both temporary and permanent options.
In this blog post, we’ll look at the top 5 ways to get bigger hips so you can attain a more feminine body shape. Read on to learn more!
1. Hip Pads
Padding your hips is the quickest and easiest way to achieve those desired lower body curves.
Hip pads come in a variety of different styles and are specifically designed to mimic the natural look and feel of actual hips.
The most popular options include removable hip pads and padded panties with built in hip padding. Here’s what you need to know about each option:
Removable hip pads
Removable hip pads are typically made of foam or silicone and are designed to be worn under clothes to add volume and shape to the hips.
Though most removable hip pads are attached to the skin with adhesive, they should be worn with hosiery or shapewear to hold them securely in place.
The advantage of removable hip pads is that they can be easily adjusted or repositioned as desired. And because they come in so many sizes and shapes, you can create the exact feminine hip look you desire.
Padded panties
Padded panties, on the other hand, have built-in padding sewn into the hip area to create a fuller and curvier appearance.
Some styles have padding on both the hips and buttocks, while others only have padding on the hips or butt.
Padded panties are a more convenient option than removable pads since the padding is already built-in. However, the downside is that you cannot reposition them as you can with removable pads.
2. Exercise
While exercise can’t change your bone structure, building up the muscles in the hip and glute area can help you achieve more shapely hips.
To increase the size and definition of the outer hip muscles, focus on exercises that involve moving the leg away from the midline.
Here are some of the best exercises for MTF hip widening:
- Side lunges
- Curtsy lunges
- Squats
- Bulgarian split squats
- Squats with sidekicks
- Clamshells
- Sumo walk
- Hip lifts
- Hip lift progression
- Donkey kick
The 10 minute Curvy Hourglass Hips workout above includes several of these exercises to help build more feminine hips.
3. Clothing
Clothing is another great tool for creating the illusion of wider hips. The right outfit can make all the difference in the world!
Instead of tight skirts or pants that draw attention to flat hips, opt for bottoms with lots of fullness or gathering to add volume to the hip area.
A beautiful, flattering option is a tulip skirt, which adds a rounded curve to your hips and upper legs. An A-line skirt is another great option if you’re into cleaner styles.
Wearing larger prints and bright colors on the bottom is also a great way to visually enlarge the area.
Finally, consider the fabric. Heavier fabrics help create the impression of weight compared to thinner, lighter fabrics.
4. Hormone Therapy
If you are transitioning and seeking a more permanent solution, gender affirming hormone therapy (also known as hormone replacement therapy) could significantly impact your hip area.
Administering estrogen through HRT can promote fat redistribution, boosting hip size by enlarging the fat cells around the hips.
It’s important to note that the effects of hormones on hip size and shape can vary from person to person. These changes can also take several months to become noticeable.
Of course, curvy hips are only half the equation. To get that desired hourglass figure, you will also want to think about your waistline.

5. Hip Augmentation Surgery
Finally, if you’re looking for the most dramatic and permanent way to enhance the shape of your hips, you might want to consider hip augmentation surgery. This can be an important gender affirming surgery for trans women.
The two main types of hip augmentation surgery include hip implants and fat transfer.
Hip implants
Hip implant surgery involves placing silicone implants in the hip area to enhance the size and shape of the hips.
Hip implants come in various sizes and shapes and are similar to those used in breast augmentation surgery. The procedure is typically performed under general anesthesia and can take several hours to complete.
During the surgery, the surgeon will make incisions in the skin and create a pocket in the tissue to insert the implant. The implant is then positioned in place and the incisions are closed with sutures.
Fat transfer
Fat transfer, also known as lipofilling or fat grafting, involves transferring fat from another part of the body to the hips.
The surgery begins by harvesting fat from a donor area, such as the abdomen, through liposuction. The extracted fat is then purified and injected into the hips to enhance their volume and shape.
Fat transfer is a more natural option than implants since it uses the patient’s own tissue. However, the amount of fat that can be transferred is limited, and the results may not be as dramatic as with implants.
In Conclusion
I hope this blog post gave you some new ideas for creating shapely, feminine hips.

I have done the video for a full 14 days some time ago. And I went from 36.5″ to 37 inches in my hips and seance then haven’t done them for over 5 months and my hips are permanently at 37″. I recommend to do a full 14 days see where your starting point is then after 14 days see where your at then don’t measure tell the 14th Day. Because it can take time to bild and shape the hips. Then if you want to further increase do another 14 days take your measurements and go from there to your desired hip measurements size.
Hi ladies. Just asking and curious .if anyone can guess my nationality ? Thanks you girls!! Much love…
Mexican, I think…
I was blessed with a nice little bubble butt and thick thighs. I had purchased a couple of pairs of hip panties and I have to say. I love them and the way they make me look and feel. By far one of the best purchases I have made so far
I love to show off my girly curves, of course with a little help
Leonara, Thank You and please keep showing off your girly curves!
Several years ago I hired an image consultant who works with transgender women and she started with my foundation wardrobe. She had me contact Classic Curves to get a custom fit Veronica 2 Padded Panty. The Veronica 2 has padded hips and butt and is very feminizing. She also had me wear a Squeem Waist Trainer and Glamorise Magic Lift Bras size 42C, my actual size thanks to genetics, breast massage and PM. She said whenever you leave the house from now on wear all three of these items and you will be addressed as a woman. She was right. She also sent me to a hair stylist who grew my hair out and gave me a medium bob cut so I could look like a woman 24/7.
Unless you want to wear a swimsuit or booty shorts, I think padded underwear is a great option. Through clothes, nobody can tell that those curves aren’t natural. Paired with a waist cincher, I’ve been able to create an hourglass figure that makes me think, “I AM WOMAN!!”
It’s this kind of help in “crossing the fence” that I again realize how fortunate I am. Seems I was born with alcohol fetal syndrome which gave most parts of my body elongated features; head, nose, arms and torso. That last one was really the only one really noticeable growing up and in fact ridiculed a couple times for having a “low butt”. My whole life was spent trying to camouflage that as best I could but was practically impossible for a guy. Enter Rachel in 2015. My alter ego became my savior and what use to be a flaw was now a strength! I’m completely natural as far as transitioning goes and will likely remain that way, but sure is a better way to leave this party than the way I came in. Best wishes to all evidently not as fortunate as I came to be.
I am sorry you had to go through all that in your life. But I do have to say you have a great butt.
Great tips- but, it’s not easy. You can try to give an illusion, in your pics, with a certain pose/ camera angle, and lighting. Play around with it!
