Do you want to look younger, prettier, and more feminine? If so, try changing your hairstyle! There’s no easier way to improve your appearance.
What are the best male to female haircuts and styles?
I’m glad you asked!
The most flattering and feminizing hairstyles are ones that help soften strong facial features (like a prominent nose or jaw) while making your eyes and lips pop!
Read on to discover the top 6 MTF transgender hairstyles. Note that these style tips work for both wigs and natural hair.
1. Side Swept Bangs
Bangs are a great option since they draw attention to your eyes while hiding a prominent brow ridge. Bangs also make you look cute and youthful!
Straight bangs can highlight angular facial features, so go for soft, side swept bangs instead.
2. Layers
Layered hairstyles tend to be much more flattering than hair that’s all one length. Face framing layers soften your features and add texture and volume to your hair.
3. Soft Waves
Soft waves are super sexy and feminine. Waves also add volume to your hair, making thin hair appear fuller.
Most trans women and crossdressers look great with full, wavy hair that balances out stronger facial features and a larger body frame.
4. Shoulder Length Hair
Shoulder length hair is the best option for most women, including transgender women. Hair that’s too short can look masculine, while hair that’s too long can drag down your face after a certain age.
Shoulder length hair is very feminine and flattering. Additionally, it helps conceal a stronger jaw or thicker neck (if these are issues for you).
5. Side Parts
Middle parts can be tricky since they make your face look longer and highlight your nose and chin. Side parts are more flattering and can be worn by anybody with any face shape.
6. Highlights
Finally, don’t forget about color! Highlights brighten your face and look softer than a single block of color. Generally speaking, your highlights should be two shades lighter than your base color for the most natural look.
Make everyday a good hair day!
Nothing can boost your appearance like a fabulous hairstyle. As you can see from the tips above, the key is to think SOFT – soft cuts, soft texture, and soft color – to balance and feminize your features.
Hair is an important topic, so I’d love to hear from you!

This is my everyday look… can’t afford highlights… but I do ok.
Now that it’s getting warmer, you could try a spray-on hair lightener like Sun-In for natural highlights. 🙂
This is my real hair as of last spring. It is quite a bit longer now, but I am ready to cut it cack to shoulder length and creat a new style. I am planning a day when I can spend with my hair stylist to have it colored and cut in the next few weeks. I really love having my own long hair.
Hi, Lucille
While I’m curing my hair by the Chinese special kit of mountain herbs I/m wearing light-weighted Italian wig of natural feminine hair. I prefer all natural in my transition including herbs, meal, clothes and body curves, Natural colour of female hair in our area is blonde and so as my Italian female hair with waves of dark-blonde.Special thanks to you for your video with Rob Brinded matrix and wonderful hypnosis kit with charming voice of Kodi. And of course for Kathe. After her magic vice sessions I have another problem- how to speak to my old voice when I’m at work.
Hi there~ I generally go with a style reminiscient of those found in games or anime, mostly because of the styles that appear. They have a certain appeal to me, as corny as that might sound. At the very least I feel that it works for me. Tell me what you girls think? I’ll see you all around~
what do you think.
I have a wig quite like one of the “do” styles. I have brown hair naturally, and my wig is brown with highlights. I absolutly adore it! My own hair Is naturally curly and gets too much of a pain to get the length I like. My pic is a bit fuzzy, but its me with my wig
Looks good Jennifer! It does nice job f framing your face nd falls very naturally. Nadiya
……..( I’d also love to see your hair, so come post your photos and leave me your thoughts on the blog )
please advise me, if I have the right look.
thanks
I think you look great! Both styles are very flattering.
I have my hair frosted,an side parted an it is layered to lay to the contour of my face….I think the Woman who has done my hair since the first day i decided to let my own hair grow out has helped me the best…
For the real hair or wigs ask what looks best..they know since most work everyday with hair. Listen to the professionals they usually know best.

That’s a good point. I gave some general guidelines, but definitely ask a stylist for their opinion on what looks best on YOU.
