The right pair of shoes can instantly transform the way you look, feel, and walk. That’s why a girl can never own too many pairs!
Of course, not all shoes are created equal and some styles are much more flattering and feminizing than others.
That’s why in this blog post, I’ve compiled the top 7 shoe styles for crossdressers and transgender women.
From classy high heels to comfortable flats, here are the best MTF shoes to enhance your feminine image.
1. Classic Black Pumps
What could be more chic than a pair of classic black pumps? They add a polished look to any outfit, making them a feminine wardrobe staple.
For the most mileage, choose a closed-toe, full back style with a heel that’s high enough to help loosen up your hips as you walk.
2. Ballet Flats
You don’t have to wear high heels to look feminine!
Ballet flats are a fantastic option, especially if you’re on the taller side or want to look pretty and stylish without sacrificing comfort.
3. D’Orsay Pumps
The d’Orsay is a beautiful and elegant pump style in which the sides are cut away to reveal the arch of the foot.
D’Orsay pumps are perfect for showing off shapely legs – an asset for most crossdressers and transgender women.
4. T-Straps
T-straps add a sexy touch to pumps, high heel sandals, and flats. T-strap shoes have two distinct benefits:
- The ankle strap offers extra support for your ankles, making them easier to walk in than other heels.
- The vertical line created by the center strap draws the eye upwards, making your legs look longer.
5. Nude Heels
If you’re on a budget, nude heels will give you the most mileage since they can be worn with literally any color of outfit.
Choose a nude tone that blends in with your skin to make your legs look miles long – an added bonus!
6. Wedges
Still trying to master walking in heels? Then consider a wedge heel. Since the sole covers more ground, they’re much easier to walk in.
One caveat: Wedges have a chunky look, so they are best for those with thinner legs. Stay away from them if you have large or muscular legs.
7. Tall Boots
Boots are sexy and sassy, so they’re a wardrobe must.
Choose knee high boots for the most elegant look. Tall boots are more flattering and slimming than ankle boots or boots that hit the middle of the calf.
Let’s talk shoes!
Of course, these 7 shoe styles are only the beginning! While all of these options are fantastic, the best shoes are the ones that make YOU look and feel your best.
I could talk about shoes for days, so let’s keep the conversation going!
Take my poll and then and share a photo of yourself wearing your favorite shoes in the comments below!

I think there should have been a poll option for over 100 shoes.
I’m slightly addicted to them. I have all 5 styles you recommend.
My last count about a month ago was 197 pairs of shoes and boots.
Of course some get more attention than others. I find it easy to walk in almost any style. I choose based on activity and look I want to achieve. I prefer 4 inch heels but do have some special shoes like tap or ball room shoes with the lower heel and that is fine too. I’m a size 11 but have found depending on mfg I have to order up or down 1 size. If the shoe fits buy every color. LOL
Love shoes
i find a chunky heel style shoe easier to walk in
love hearing the click of heels on the pavement and even more so
when it’s me and my shoes making the clicking 😀
I voted in the 11-25 range, can’t remember exactly how many pairs I have. I prefer 3.5-4 inch heel height as I’m only 5’5″ tall and love the confident feel they give me. I have one or two pairs a bit higher but can’t wear for a long time, also I have some ballet pumps for when I’m in the garden where heels would look ridiculous and be impractical. Quite a few pairs of mine have a strap/buckle going over my ankle, that way they securely stay on and any variation in size makes no difference.
Have no problem with finding my size in most places, I am 10 US / 7.5 UK.
In the UK we have a store called M&S (maybe one or two are in US too), I find their heels very comfortable, many now come with cushioned inner-soles.
I buy many of my shoes from eBay, I bought many M&S shoes off there at amazing prices and they always fit.
My favorite pair..
I have five pairs of shoes, but only two pairs of them are heels. It’s hard to find shoes my size in my town. And being unemployed and no income doesn’t help any either. I wear a size 13W in women’s shoes.
I guess I am like some out there. I do have what I think of as a “small” shoe collection. I do enjoy the ones that I have. They are simple, yet stylish. But I am always open to suggestions for other ideas
It’s so nice to know that I’m not the only one in love with shoes and boots. I have to admit that my addiction has created the need for me to build on an over sized walk-in-closet to my house which isn’t such a bad thing. 🙂
Shoes are my downfall,I have been called Amalda(Marcos)you will have to be of a certain age to understand that.I have well over 50 pairs some still in their boxes waiting for that special occassion, or not, just great to look at or wear around house.I have shoes of all styles mentioned and a few that my wife refers to as “tart” shoes,I love them all.Size ten is no problem, however if It is the last one of its kind in the shop and a size 9 well a girl has to sometimes suuer a little pain for the sake of fashion.
