For the most mileage, choose a closed-toe, full back style with a heel that’s high enough to help loosen up your hips as you walk.

You don’t have to wear high heels to look feminine!
Ballet flats are a fantastic option, especially if you’re on the taller side or want to look pretty and stylish without sacrificing comfort.

I wear size 11 too and have found them at many places as already listed. I just also have been going to DSW and Nine West Outlet. They both carry a large stock of 11, 12. and some 13’s. Good luck girls.

In guy mode, I wear a men’s 8A, an impossible shoe size to find nowadays without spending what seems like a ridiculous amount of money for a shoe. I bought two pairs of dress/work shoes this summer that I wear when I go to court, which cost me a total of $550 and they were both on sale! But, they were also the first men’s shoes I’d bought since 1998. Good men’s shoes tend to last a long time.
Size 8 men’s is supposed to translate to size 10 women’s but that size is too big for me! My women’s shoes and high heels range from women’s 8, 8.5, 9 or 9.5 (European 38, 38.5, 39 or 39.5) and are usually size 9/39. I have no problem finding women’s shoes that fit. All my hiking, running, bicycling, and other sports shoes (except the ones I use for soccer/football or baseball) are women’s shoes. I only wear my men’s shoes when I am wearing a suit or tuxedo (though not always then). The greatest thing are my stealth shoes: women’s shoes I can wear in guy mode with hardly a gander.
If you live in the U.S., Nordstrom Rack typically has lots and lots of larger shoes, up to size 13. Starting at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, November 5, 2010 in the Seattle downtown Nordstrom Rack, there is a sale event for women’s shoes size 10.5 – 13 (and men’s sizes 14 – 16). They obviously have too many big ones, ladies, so if you live out here, you’ll want to be first in line so you can beat out the bigger footed ggs.
I love the designer shoe sales at the Rack. I’ve found some incredible bargains from time to time. A pair of Balenciaga high heels at “90% off the last marked price” cost me $129. I know that’s a lot of money for many people, but those shoes were $1299 new.
I splurged on the shoes in the photo, a pair of John Fluevog 40th Anniversary Munsters, for the Seattle Red Dress Party earlier this October.

Target is good but, depending on the shoe I can wear between a 10 1/2 to 11 narrow shoe so the Rack at Nordstroms is a good place to get a good shoe for sometimes not so much money. I like 3 inch heels but 2 inch are more practical.
