Well, compared to what I’ve read above (just 1 page) I am the most lady-like – 85%. I tend to wear lingerie, not swear, not smoke and I do not get drunk in public. I’m almost prepared to begin the hormone therapy to transform myself.
Hi Lucille
The most important thing in a woman in my opinion is to be demure and elegant.i am 79%.
Love joanna.
Okay, so I got a 76% on the survey . . . seems pretty ‘lady-like’, but I have always been trying to avoid being to stereotypical in my femininity, which is more “typical” of being a woman, right?
For example, I don’t want to sleep in sexy lingerie, but rather a really cute nightie or PJs – like any girl would.
I don’t have interest in super high stilettos or showing lots of skin in my outfits, and feel so much more ‘lady-like’ in cute flats/ or 1/2″-heel pumps, and the tasteful/classic female elegance of a cute pencil skirt paired with a clingy knit top or pretty blouse.
My best gauge of feeling/being ‘lady-like’ has been blending in completely with other gals in a professional office/business setting, AND blending in 100% when I’m out for dinner with 2-3-4 other gal friends after work. We all look nice, pretty accents/accessories here and there, but all average clothes/outfits, same for hair, jewelry, perfume, nails . . . . nothing that will draw major ‘staring” attention. That feels VERY ‘lady-like’.
I’m a transexual woman and have been living full-time for the last 4 and a half years, and I learned that I do not have the obligation to be lady-like. I’d say it’s misogynist to declare that femininity is something that trans-women or MTF transvestites “should aspire to”. I’ve got 34% and I know that I’m as much of a woman as any other, because gender-expression does NOT define gender identity. And even more binary gender code is restrictive, sexist and basically, socially constructed.
