Stepping out into the word as your female self can be incredibly empowering. It’s powerful validation for crossdressers and transgender women alike.
In this blog post, I want to dive into this topic and hear about your own experiences. How often do you present yourself as a woman in public?
Do you live as a woman full time? Do you crossdress regularly or on occasion? Or is the answer, sadly, “never”?
Please take my transgender / crossdressing survey and share your thoughts in the comments below!

My recent break up was full of accusations of me bieng gay…well iam not i just love the feeling of dressing up in feminine attire n letting my sexy slutty side out…i believe she was jealous because i looked better than her.. Now i can enjoy my fetish with no problems
I go out regularly dressed and am told pm very femmine an passable,l dress for the occasion on in or going to,have been picked up by some very lovely men and also dated l love the feel of beautiful fitting clothes and lingereau against my smooth soft body, and a hansom man to hold me close.
i prefer to go out on a wet or cold day that way i can leave the house with a rain coat over my female attire adding my earrings iipstick pumps etc in the parking lot of the mall leaving the raincoat in the suv. Any way it works for me. I used to dress i admit like a hooker but i dress more conservatily now i blend in with the rest of the girls.and get an admiring look from time to time which makes my day.
I go out occasionally. My problem is I don’t have place to dress and change and put makeup. Mostly I put make in my car. It is so terrible way but is rewarding me at the end.
Can you suggest a private public places for me.
my outting as woman more then use to im mixing my clothes more often now one’s im round don’t seem to matter although it would make me happier go out fully dressed without having worry bout certain people pointing it out to other’s know me as male
I go out about twice per month and spend the whole day shopping, walking the malls and stores, and going out to eat. I actually enjoy shopping for women’s clothes more when dressed. People will stare at a man who’s looking at high heel shoes, but don’t think twice of a woman actually trying them on! I also really love being able to try on clothes at the store and decide if they look good before bringing them home. Store clerk’s always direct me to the woman’s dressing room which is such an affirmation for me.
I absolutely love being out and that’s when I feel most in touch with who I really am. I’m 6’1 but I still pass with most people, even face to face, but occasionally I’ll get a stare. I just smile or wink and keep going! To pass, I think it’s important to dress as a woman normally would for a casual day and not to overdo the clothing, makeup and jewelry… yoga pants, top and jacket, or jeans and simple cotton blouse, neutral tones of eyeshadow and lipstick, and simple jewelry during the day. If you overdress or look like a hooker, you’ll be “spotted”.
I have a deep voice, and although I practice my female voice often, it’s a dead giveaway and wish I could change it. I compensate by using head and hand gestures in lieu of speaking when I can, keep to one word answers, or talk softly and airy instead of raising my pitch.
I crossdressed for years indoor, but I’ve never felt happier now that I’m out. A recent divorce has afforded me the freedom to try what I’ve always had to keep secret. Try it girls, you won’t regret it!
Your picture is beautiful and you definitely pass. Thanks for sharing.
Stacey, you are soooooooo darling and wish I was divorced too to have more time to be femme!

I just started taking my feminization seriously. I love the way I feel as a woman,it’s empowering. I never go out dressed just don’t feel confident, looking for makeup tips. I had it done professionally looked great! I can’t afford to do that all the time.
girl ever heard phrase practice makes perfect then won’t have worry bout getting it done by professional or from someone else practice practice practice even if not getting dressed or plan on going out
I was going to a cross dressing service here in Atlanta. Phoebe Cross. We started by going out in public during the day shopping. Then to a restaurant. We went out several times over a few years and I realized that I was passing! In the past year, I started dressing and going out anytime my wife was not around (she does not know and would not approve). I have been out shopping, eating dinner, just walking around downtown Athens, GA and visiting some bars and restaurants there. Never had a second look. I have a lady I met in Athens. We are just friends and sometime go out as two mature ladies on a girls night out. I enjoy blending in and passing. It provides a real turn-on later!
