Are you looking for male to female (MTF) fashion tips to help you look your best this summer? If so, you are in the right place!
Even though hot weather can be tricky (hello, sweat!), summer can be a great time to embrace your feminine side. There’s nothing like stepping out en femme in a cute sundress or sexy swimsuit.
Here are 7 tips, tailored specifically for crossdressers and transgender women, to help you look extra sexy and feminine this summer.
1. Rock Some Sexy Sunglasses
Sunglasses are a summer must-have accessory. They not only shield your eyes but also exude a touch of glamour and allure.
Here’s are the best frame shapes to flatter your face:
- Rounded frames balance angular features.
- Angular frames are most flattering for round faces.
Tip: Avoid wearing your sunglasses too high up on your face. Most stylists recommend that your sunglasses should not cover your eyebrows.
2. Illuminate Your Locks
Summer and highlights go hand in hand. Add some highlights to your natural hair or pick up a wig with highlights.
Good news: Crossdressers and transgender women of all skin and hair tones can pull off highlights. Shades like auburn, chocolate, or dark blonde complement darker coloring beautifully.
3. Try a Sun-Kissed Glow
A tan exudes sexiness and gives your body a more toned appearance. Rather than risking sunburn, opt for a self-tanner.
I recommend using a tanning mousse with a mitt applicator for an even, natural-looking tan. Jergens Natural Glow Instant Sun Body Mousse is an excellent option.
4. Switch Up Your Fragrance
Change your fragrance to match the summer vibe. Take a break from heavy, musky scents and opt for something light and fruity.
Consider these summer-worthy scents:
- On the Beach by Louis Vuitton (unisex, so you can wear it in male mode too!)
- Sugar Lemon by Fresh
- Be Delicious Fresh Blossom by DKNY
- Daisy Eau So Fresh by Marc Jacobs
5. Bid Farewell to Body Hair
Smooth, silky skin is irresistibly sexy. Summer is the perfect time for a full-body shave or wax, bringing out your inner femininity.
You’ll not only feel more girly but also cooler and fresher, enhancing the feminine experience.
6. Lighten Up Your Lip Shade
Summer calls for a shift from deep lip colors to fresh and light hues. Soft pinks, corals, and nudes are ideal choices for a warm weather look.
7. Treat Yourself to a New Dress
Invest in a sexy new sundress to kick off the summer season. Look for flowing, gathered styles that create the illusion of curves.
Now, show off your summer look!
I hope these MTF fashion tips have convinced you that summer is the perfect time to embrace your feminine style.
This applies whether you plan to step out as a woman in public, or simply enjoy your female side in private.
I’d love to see your favorite summer look, so please share your photos below!

Hello Kiara I am from South Australia, yes rural towns are a challenge. Dress sense must be perfect to avoid being detected. Myer, Priceline, David Jones, Millers are all transgender friendly. I am looking another crossdresser to exchange messages with. Please contact, srosey89@gmail.com thank-you Rosemerry
I love the warmer months because I get to show off my legs and my pedicure. I love to wear short skirts and dresses. I am now getting full body sugaring each month to remove all my body hair. Attached is a recent photo.
Hi – I love the summer! I love sundresses and big glasses! Here I am the other day at the mall – I wore this dress out shopping! What do you think? Have fun out there! Suzy
Suzy,
You always look so feminine, and those sunglasses take it to the next level of SEXY!

You look very beautiful, I like your shoes! Very pretty, I love sun dresses too, open and airy.
summer breeze wearing my dress what a thrill just intoxicating.
Remember to take off your”man” watch
I love sundresses and retro 1950’s styles with a petticoat underneath. I do wear female blouses, bras, and pants all the time but I live in a town that is not kind to girls like me so I have to go to another town to feel free. Wish I could wear my dresses and skirts where I live. One day I hope to move…and I love pink lipstick!
keep the faith. I’ve been coming out part time for about a year. Was scared in the beginning , but it wasn’t bad at all. Before I new it became lots of fun. Just do the work to look and feel your best for yourself

My main problem is that I feel really comfortable as a girl when I am away from where I live
Problem I have is I live in a mining town which is very homophobic and male dominated
I don’t know how to come out in the town
Open to,any suggestions
Wow Kiara! You look fabulous! I have a similar issue. I live and have my business in a small town. Everybody knows me here so, for my business’ sake, I have to go a town or two away if I want to go out as my femme self. I’ve done that a few times. I also have dressed up on vacation, especially in Palm Springs. But mostly I just relax in a skirt, short shorts, dress or nightgown when I am at home. Keep on being your fantastic self.
Honey, I live in a small town and can totally appreciate how you feel. One of my methods in coming out was to wear girls clothes that were sort of gender neutral. So all my jeans are girl jeans, in fat 90% of my wardrobe is femme. So, while it appears I am wearing jeans and a t-shirt, they are girl’s jeans and girl’s t-shirt. It doesn’t have to be about wearing a dress or a skirt and the most important thing is to present an air of confidence.
I would also like to say, you look pretty convincing in your picture.
