Are you looking for male to female (MTF) fashion tips to help you look your best this summer? If so, you are in the right place!
Even though hot weather can be tricky (hello, sweat!), summer can be a great time to embrace your feminine side. There’s nothing like stepping out en femme in a cute sundress or sexy swimsuit.
Here are 7 tips, tailored specifically for crossdressers and transgender women, to help you look extra sexy and feminine this summer.
1. Rock Some Sexy Sunglasses
Sunglasses are a summer must-have accessory. They not only shield your eyes but also exude a touch of glamour and allure.
Here’s are the best frame shapes to flatter your face:
- Rounded frames balance angular features.
- Angular frames are most flattering for round faces.
Tip: Avoid wearing your sunglasses too high up on your face. Most stylists recommend that your sunglasses should not cover your eyebrows.
2. Illuminate Your Locks
Summer and highlights go hand in hand. Add some highlights to your natural hair or pick up a wig with highlights.
Good news: Crossdressers and transgender women of all skin and hair tones can pull off highlights. Shades like auburn, chocolate, or dark blonde complement darker coloring beautifully.
3. Try a Sun-Kissed Glow
A tan exudes sexiness and gives your body a more toned appearance. Rather than risking sunburn, opt for a self-tanner.
I recommend using a tanning mousse with a mitt applicator for an even, natural-looking tan. Jergens Natural Glow Instant Sun Body Mousse is an excellent option.
4. Switch Up Your Fragrance
Change your fragrance to match the summer vibe. Take a break from heavy, musky scents and opt for something light and fruity.
Consider these summer-worthy scents:
- On the Beach by Louis Vuitton (unisex, so you can wear it in male mode too!)
- Sugar Lemon by Fresh
- Be Delicious Fresh Blossom by DKNY
- Daisy Eau So Fresh by Marc Jacobs
5. Bid Farewell to Body Hair
Smooth, silky skin is irresistibly sexy. Summer is the perfect time for a full-body shave or wax, bringing out your inner femininity.
You’ll not only feel more girly but also cooler and fresher, enhancing the feminine experience.
6. Lighten Up Your Lip Shade
Summer calls for a shift from deep lip colors to fresh and light hues. Soft pinks, corals, and nudes are ideal choices for a warm weather look.
7. Treat Yourself to a New Dress
Invest in a sexy new sundress to kick off the summer season. Look for flowing, gathered styles that create the illusion of curves.
Now, show off your summer look!
I hope these MTF fashion tips have convinced you that summer is the perfect time to embrace your feminine style.
This applies whether you plan to step out as a woman in public, or simply enjoy your female side in private.
I’d love to see your favorite summer look, so please share your photos below!

Dear Lucille,
I love reading all your tips…the eyes in your last message are amazing and very HOT! My question however is this…how does one have a silky smooth chest without lazor? I see a ton of pictures with men and these smooth chest and belly. Surely not all these people have done this procedure. I need a way to have that look so I’m not so limited in my choice of clothes. I’d like to be able to wear stuff that could show more neck line. Also what do you recommend to hide the mustache shadow. Seems after shaving its still a dark area that is too noticeable. Any advice would be greatly appreciative by anyone.

I use Veet or Nair on my chest. I make sure that I do this a day or so before I go out. I make sure to motureize right after my shower, every time. This allows the skin to take over the “shaddow”. I also use a foundation/conciler that has a yellow or orange cast to it and blend the make-up well. After you use the conciler, make sure to use a light applicaiton of foundation to blend and give you a wonderful canvas to use some contouring of the breasts with make-up. I top it off wiht a loose powder.
I just purchased Lucille’s “Ulimate Cleavage Guide” and it has some wonderful information that I now use. She covers the answer to your question very well and I just added my own spin to it.
hi honey i shave close as for my chest @legs hair remover honey use a primer for face @eyes then use a powder brush on makeup followed by a good bronzer i use salley beauty products good luck heather
I will look at getting a spray on tan or get one at the drugstore.
I love to wear low cut tops,my bras, and shorts when it is summertime. I have a new wig that I will try out this summer. I bought a couple of sundresses and also a scuba type swimsuit that has a zipper that goes down to there.
Here in NM I have been wearing bikini’s for about a month now. Always go bare. No hair except on my head. If I had privacy fencing I would tan all over. Love to all Charlene

Dear Lucille,
Thank you for the summer tips.
I already wear round sunglasses, bare legs, highlighted wigs, a light fruit fragrance and muted shadow.
I will look for a sundress (usually wear cotton print skirts and tank style tops) and tanning products, and try blue shadow (I have blue gray eyes).
Thanks,
Lisa Marie Kelly

Hi there
I have a problem and that is hair. Its really irritating. I am so hairy i dont have a clue as to what to do. Otherwise the tips are a really help.
Thanks
Mona
Mona dear although I never had much hair on my body I have used an Epilady to remove most of what I do have and a Tweezee for the face and chest. Using those methods the more you use them the less grows back and the finer it is when it comes back. Since I can not afford laser removal that is my way. Trim your hair close and it works alright.
