Do you go out in public as a woman?
If the answer is no, you’re not alone. Nearly 75% of my readers rarely or never leave the house en femme.
While going out en femme can be exciting and empowering, it’s not the only way to express your feminine side as a crossdresser or transgender woman.
Whether you choose to go out or keep it private, both options are valid!
This is an important topic, and I’d love to know what you think.
Where do YOU present yourself as a woman?
- Strictly in the privacy of your own home?
- At select places – like nightclubs, meetups, or conferences?
- Anywhere and everywhere as a full time woman?

I go out wearing women’s underwear and pants…but honestly, I’m incredibly insecure of my appearance, regardless of what I wear. Going out fully en femme would just completely terrify me as I don’t have the body to pass. I’m afraid everyone within eyeshot would react negatively!
i thank you very much for all your advice. my major problem is shyness. how can i solve this and express myself the woman in me.
You look lovely, Edith. Rachel has great advice!
Learn to have a supportive friend to go out with. My first night out as my female self, I had one of my friends with me. Believe me, it helps to have some social support on your first night out.
That’s my issue, too. I don’t have a friend to go out with.
I dont go out dressed as a woman, just alone and at home but recently I have started shopping in womans dress shops, I havent met a woman who said no to help me, that felt good.
Love Henriette
I am a little older than some TG girls, so I do not ‘Go for the glam’. I do almost anything dressed. I now take it for granted I will be treated as a woman, so the stress level of dressing has, over time, greatly reduced. I try to go out as ‘Mandy’ two to three times a week ,but that rarely happens. My life in ‘drab’ gets in the way. Regardless, I love developing my unique style in clothing and Make-up
That great! I love what you said about taking for granted that you will be treated as a woman.
Nothing stops me from going where I want and when I want. Attached is a picture of me and my dear GG friend at lunch two weeks ago. I go everywhere as Carollyn…shopping, lunch, movies, sporting events. I just love being a girl.
I am Amanda 24/7 while at home. But I travel for a living as I am an entertainer. (Comedian) A male comedian. I am currently developing a show for myself as Amanda, but until then I still am booked as a male, and travel as such.
My new show will include comedy and songs. Serious and fun songs, not comedic. I have written 13 songs to be performed as Amanda, so far, and I am currently producing them.
I will be “retiring” my male career in the next year or so, and focus on my career as Amanda full time.
But for now, at home in my city, I am Amanda 24/7.
Yes, please do share!
Amanda i agree with Marybeth. Please keep us up to date when we might be seeing Amanda out. In the mean time pardon me if i drool. 🙂
Amanda, you are a dream! You should tell us when and where you have shows and we could come support you!
At home with my wife ! A’m 47 and to old to change now and be passable. ??
It is true that you can be passable at any age. In fact, I believe it gets easier with age since genetic women tend to look more masculine as they get older. So the lines are already a bit more blurred. 😉
You can be passable at any age. I am 56 and pass most of the time.
