Do you go out in public as a woman?
If the answer is no, you’re not alone. Nearly 75% of my readers rarely or never leave the house en femme.
While going out en femme can be exciting and empowering, it’s not the only way to express your feminine side as a crossdresser or transgender woman.
Whether you choose to go out or keep it private, both options are valid!
This is an important topic, and I’d love to know what you think.
Where do YOU present yourself as a woman?
- Strictly in the privacy of your own home?
- At select places – like nightclubs, meetups, or conferences?
- Anywhere and everywhere as a full time woman?

Iam going to my first gender group session at the va hospital in two weeks. Iam so happy to have this chance to meet other veteran like my self. Iam not sure yet what to wear but I;ve been leaning towards my black slacks and plum top.
Being married and in secret, I would travel away from home, dress, and go out and just walk a while, feelin free. Fortunately I am quite passable so I have never been hassled but my biggest fear is getting pulled over and asked for my license!!
Hi Deedee.
I’ve been stopped several times now, yes the first one is nerve wracking. But all the times I have been stopped, not once did the officers act badly toward me. If you’re not full time, be up front and honest and you’ll be ok.
Decades ago, I used to go to strip clubs en femme and received lukewarm acceptance from the dancers, and that’s with the stripper sh*t one can expect at these places.
Lately I’ve been going to a sports bar en femme and have had nothing but positive responses from the bartenders and waitresses. (I’m sure being a generous tipper helps.) Even the male management has been accepting, including a manager they picked up from a recently closed casual dining restaurant that I used to go to.
i am dressed fem 80% of the time the i am home and for the past couple of years have only worn my fem panties stockings and bra when even out under my boy clothing . i try to go out a few times a month dressed and be the fem gurl i always feel like
I go to work enfem at least one day a week. My wordrobe is about 80 percent women’s. My purse is with me all the time now.
WOW, Cesia, that is impressive! Hope I get to that point someday!
You make it Sound simple–But a lot of us have responsibilities–
I–Personally am lucky to have the support of my wife & (grown)kids or the most part–However–am stuck in a low paying job let with almost no discretionary spending money—still paying a morgage ect—
We do go out shopping ect with me dressed–but–I’m always watching for anyone from work–Labour & human rights laws only count for those who can afford to litigate–
I enjoy my feminine lifestyle. I dress stylishly, ladylike and fitting the occasion.
You look very nice in your picture, Marcie!
During MANY years of been a CD, i’ll been thinking…
Why if the desire of be a girl is driving you crazy…
WHY dont you TAKE the next step and save money to change into a girl (the closer natural girl that you can be?)
Many CD, as many as an entire state (the biggest of your country), who really want to be a girl, they doesn’t do ANYTHING to make it that true? [YES I KNOW the money maybe it will be the answer of MANY].
But as CD or as a person we can save some money from our salary, or earnings to change into a girl (why do you as CD stay only in the status of I WISH TO BE… ?)
I know that some CD’s are just fine as CD’s, but my question is going to those who really want to change their gender and live the rest of their lifes as a woman (girl, lady).
The TV show “I’m Cait” show us a few things about how to talk to our families, about the sex reasignation that we want and wish for.
And other thing that turn on the alarms of my mind is…
As CD’s why don’t you try to be more femenine, and less masculine?
The genetic womens had their’s mothers, or sisters, or cousins whom teach them how to make up, how to dress as all the women does.
And those genetic women whom hasn’t relatives to teach them, they had a female friend older whom teach them to make up, dress and sometimes how to act as agenetic woman.
And if they haven’t any friend, family, or relative, they save money and taken a make up course.
Then wahy all whom really want to change their gender into the other one, keep acting as a male?
In the internet there’s many tips video how help the CD how do they have to do to be more femenine, more female, and do a much better acting.
Yes i’m upset (sorry), but i think all ppl from rainbow comunity (across all the world) and all the CD’s from all the world, we have to DO SOMETHING, not only do PARADES, or maniestations.
Why if we’re CD’s, we only go to places that we know that many CD’s and ppl from the rainbow comunity goes?
We can be free too to dress as we want (wish) in every place that we go, not only CD/TV/TS/TG events or parties.
If you’re a REAL CD’s with the full intention to be (Change, transform forver) into a woman, then WHY do you (we) continue hiding in the closet?
If we all that have the REAL intention to change our sex and continue our live as a woman, we have to act, if we don’t do that, then who will?

By the way, i born male (now i hate to be one), still been CD (CrossDresser) i’m bisexual (more than gay, but it’s a process i’ll want to marriage with a COOL and very handsome guy).

I go out to public places dressed as a woman, and i hate, i can’t be MORE female, or my look more, more female, so now i’m starting to save money and getting the courage to tell my family that i’m not going to continue as a half closet CD)
I’m on the same road as you. I’ve already had some work done as well as made some appointments . I’m close to full time. 12 months on hormones. I have researched many things as I finally came to grips with how I really felt and the way i needed to go. Things are not always so black and white for everyone as they are for me or you . Everyone has there own values . Some people are just content as they are . Some will never be truly happy. Remember through it all everyone has the right to be happy as they choose. Just like us !
