Do you go out in public as a woman?
If the answer is no, you’re not alone. Nearly 75% of my readers rarely or never leave the house en femme.
While going out en femme can be exciting and empowering, it’s not the only way to express your feminine side as a crossdresser or transgender woman.
Whether you choose to go out or keep it private, both options are valid!
This is an important topic, and I’d love to know what you think.
Where do YOU present yourself as a woman?
- Strictly in the privacy of your own home?
- At select places – like nightclubs, meetups, or conferences?
- Anywhere and everywhere as a full time woman?

Hello Everyone –
I haven’t posted anything here in quite a while. I go out almost everywhere – except at work. I’ve noticed, that although there are occasional similarities, everyone has a different story. In my case, I identified as female when I was very little, but I was raised in a family that believed being transgender was a mental illness, so I suppressed my femme identity as much as I could until it almost truly drove me insane. Fate, to quote Edmond Rostand in “Cyrano de Bergerac,” is not without a sense of irony. When I hit my early 40’s, the appropriate age for andropause and menopause, I started experiencing the symptoms of menopause – including the intense desire to have a baby before it’s too late. In addition, my body decided that it was time to start developing breasts. My cisgender wife was fully aware that I identified as female, but I had no plans to transition…until my breasts became obvious enough that my best friends noticed and pointed it out to me. Quite apparently, I am a bit of a genetic freak, likely an intersex person of a type not so easily recognized at birth. As of about this time last year I decided to stop fighting the change and embrace it instead, with the help of my doctor. It was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. The only thing preventing me from completing my transition, including SRS at this point is my financial responsibility to support my wife’s need for medical insurance until she’s eligible for Medicare, even though we’ve been separated for almost 2 years. Lucky for me, she’s almost eligible, so that I can share this smile with the world as my most beautiful self. BTW, I definitely recommend Lucille’s Makeup and voice programs…and Cheeky Physique’s Sublime Bust. My girls grew to size “42A” on their own; with the help of HRT I hope to see them round out to B or C. Ironically, my masculine voice would scare James Earl Jones, but the only people who have ever misgendered me when I have been dressed as my femme self are people that originally knew me as a man. That should tell you that I pass pretty well either way, thanks to years of walking both sides of the gender line.
Much Love everyone!
Jillian
I flaunt myself everywhere. At my age, I don’t really give a shit what people think. I consider myself as a classy woman always.
Hi ladies – I am now 72 and retired. I’m only 5’6” and about 150 lbs. I go everywhere now as a female and never have a problem. I love going shopping and out to eat as Suzy. I love being treated as a female by both women and men! Here I am yesterday at the mall. What do you think?
Suzy
You look fabulous for 72! You go girl, love all your dressing room shots trying on different outfits.
Jill
Thanks so much Jill! Much appreciated! Love, Suzy
No way you’re 72. You look amazing!
Thank you!!!
Very cute!
Thank you!! Very much appreciated!
You look like a normal woman. Like me u dress to blend in with other women. I don’t like being with trans girls that dress like sluts or teenagers when are over 50. My goal even at 5’10 is to not be noticed when I’m out in public. Now on a date, that’s different. Good job
Hi Terri! That’s my goal is to just try to blend in as a normal woman. Nothing outlandish! Today it was 80 degrees and here I am in my “shopping clothes”!
I live and work as a woman. I’m very passable. I love finally being me.
After reading some of the comments about when and where you dress and brought back some early memories when I used to dress in my basement room and then sneak out the back door and get in my little red two seater and drive around aimlessly or sometimes I would go to a meeting area for guys and then find someone interested and sometimes go back to my car and then after we would go to their place and enjoy each other. But that’s just my preference, Anonymous sex. Happy times to all, Julia
I’m in the closet with family and friends, so going out is extremely difficult for me to achieve. On top of that, I can only get so much female attire and accessories or risk someone discovering my ‘secret’. I never have evenings to go out, only a couple of days during the week between 9 am and 3 pm. So lately I’ve been dressing up and going to a spa for pedicures. All the girls there are very kind and supportive. My outing consists of me leaving my home in my car without the neighbors seeing me, and then running into the spa on arrival. Then of course the reverse after my toes are done. I don’t have the guts to go to the mall or anything without someone with me, and I have no one to go with me.
I’d go out with you Katie.
Been out of the closet a few years now, I’m well known as Brenda around the clubs here in Austin Texas. I’m openly bisexual, done rock videos, documentaries, movies, drag, and currently have my own new show coming out on the internet, Brenda’s Bloody Bedtime Stories at horrorweb.com. I’m fortunate to live in a very CD friendly city, I get away with a lot walking around the entertainment district. Wish everyone had the opportunity to be out and be who they want. I’m going out to see some bands tonite, me and gf’s will be rockin till late. All the best to everyone!
Hugs and kisses, Brenda
