Do you go out in public as a woman?
If the answer is no, you’re not alone. Nearly 75% of my readers rarely or never leave the house en femme.
While going out en femme can be exciting and empowering, it’s not the only way to express your feminine side as a crossdresser or transgender woman.
Whether you choose to go out or keep it private, both options are valid!
This is an important topic, and I’d love to know what you think.
Where do YOU present yourself as a woman?
- Strictly in the privacy of your own home?
- At select places – like nightclubs, meetups, or conferences?
- Anywhere and everywhere as a full time woman?

I go out. Going out again with my exgirlfriend all done up. we go shopping, to the bars, she does my nails in tips, next time I think all acrylic, and we go out. she likes it, and we go out with her girlfriend (yes, she’s gay now) and other people. Makes me feel sexy. and she and our friends are great!
Hi, i have been going out in public as my prefered gender (female) for over two years, i am 12 months post FFS and 3 months post SRS, i have gained a lot of very useful imformation from your site Lucille, although i have never considered my self transgendered just a woman trapped i appreciate this site for all the help it does, keep the dream alive
I usually dress at home alone, but I don’t own anymore male clothing and wear womens pants or jeans, tops and shoes(tennis shoes and loafers) out in public. I just like the design of womens jeans with their patterns and skinny legs. And I save the dresses and skirts with tights or leggings at home. I am 5’8″ but only 120 lbs. so I can wesr size 5 in womans. The only problem is my upper body needs womens larges and that is why I don’t want to go out in public with the makeup and dresses cause it is just out of balanced.
You look gorgeous. I wish I could look that good.
hello girls i ‘m new here for about 4 years i’m out in the open and living as fulltime woman and i life my new life for the max , my real life has ended and now waiting for the final operation to come thank you all live your life everyday new day it will never be a dull day
You look radiant! Thanks for sharing.
I only get to dress en femme when going out somewhere with friends or whenever I don’t have to return home that night. I mean granted I am a legal adult, yes but until I live on my own I don’t have the freedom to dress as I please >.<
So for the most part I just do it whenever I get an opportunity, as rare as it is.
I have been dressing pretty much 24/7 for the past three years. I started out just driving around town at night in my car, then went with my nieces trick or treating, just to get peoples reactions. Then a female friend of mine talked into going grocery shopping with her while dressed. She was a great help to me in gaining the confidence that I needed to go out in public. Because of her I go out dressed all the time even though I know I’m not passable as a woman. There’s still some places that I don’t go en femme cause of the type of town I live in. But thanks to my friend,I’ve learned to ignore the laughs and stares from people.

Though I have gone out in public dressed as a woman many times over the years these days I am mostly half and half. When I first started going out I was afraid someone might recognize me or spot me as a man but it was my wife who said that people see you as you appear to be and as long as you act the part will take you to be as you appear. She was right as no one has ever challenged me as being a man dressed as a woman. Today I dress as a man at work but spend my afternoon and nights as a woman. I seldom dress in male clothing once I arrive home. Even when we go out I wear coveralls that fit my body which, with full breast and distinctive enough hips give me a very feminine look. I am quite androgynous dressed this way and I go about my business without a care. I am who I am and could care less about the rest these days. Yes I would like to dress all the time as a woman and in time probably will and maybe, if I’m lucky, I will fix that one last physical defect, with a bit of surgery, enjoying the full appearance that I would have as a woman. One can only hope.
I don’t think that I am so bold but just a lot more comfortable about who I am. If I were bold I would dress at work also as a woman. I do reveal myself in little ways and I think if someone asked I am just about frustrated enough to say yes I dress as a woman, I believe I am a woman and that will be that. I often imagine myself at work, always fashionably dressed working with our many customers. That is bold and above all else that is happiness.
I appreciate your boldness. I am a male but for the last several years I have been dressing like female and initially i was bit embarassed how others will view me but lateron I became so bold. I wear a 42″ bra and T shirt over it.I even wear sea through T shirts which clearly show my bra. Some times people stare at me but I don’t care. In fact I love to wear see through cloths. Except work, I always wear bra.I love to wear attractive and coloured bra which will be more visible. Many of my friends also now interested in changing their dress pattern. Some of them are afraid of their family members. But my wife give full support. Over and above the support receive from Lucile is great.
Regards,
“Thomas”…I too, always wear my Bra, and I don’t care who sees it !!!
