“Woman, Woman” by Gary Puckett & the Union Gap from the 60’s describes an unfaithful situation but, also talks about emotions and feelings all women enjoy and share when they are in love. 60’s era songs have always been my favorite since I was a teenager then, and was still struggling with my own identity, and how I wanted to appear before the rest of the world, and what sex, and persona I would identify with. In public, I’m totally virile male, but, in private moments, I don ultra-feminine, girly girl clothes, lots of satins and laces, and enjoy relaxing at home so adorned. Not yet ready to do it publicly, except in facial disguise, as I have one time previously. The music from a sultry woman’s voice puts me in the mood, and anything by Sade’ sets the stage.
Yes, I remember the Union Gap. I also was a teenager then and Gary’s parents lived across the street from me in Vista CA. I went to school with his two younger brothers.
