Are you a crossdresser or transgender woman looking to embrace your most feminine self? Finding the right role models can make all the difference.
Some of the best examples of beauty and grace come from the leading ladies of Old Hollywood.
Ready to add some vintage glamour to your feminization journey? Here are 6 timeless tips from Old Hollywood to inspire your MTF transformation or transition!
1. Joan Crawford – Tip: Good Hair Goes a Long Way
“I think that the most important thing a woman can have – next to talent, of course – is her hairdresser.” – Joan Crawford
Few things have a bigger impact on your appearance than your hair. This applies whether you wear a wig or style your own natural hair.
If you want to look younger, prettier, and more feminine, the right hairstyle is the secret. Here are the 6 best hairstyles for crossdressers and transgender women.
2. Sophia Loren – Tip: Believe That You Are Beautiful
“Nothing makes a woman more beautiful than the belief that she is beautiful.” – Sophia Loren
No amount of lipstick, hairspray, or surgery can truly make you beautiful if you don’t feel it within yourself.
Instead of comparing yourself to others, concentrate on your own unique beauty and femininity. Follow Sophia Loren’s wisdom and believe in your own beauty!
3. Audrey Hepburn – Tip: Always Be Elegant
“Elegance is the only beauty that never fades.” – Audrey Hepburn
Who could be more elegant than Audrey Hepburn herself? With her sophisticated style and graceful demeanor, she’s one of my favorite examples of ladylike elegance.
If you want to emulate Audrey Hepburn, you can start by avoiding these 5 mistakes that make you less ladylike.
4. Eartha Kitt – Tip: Don’t Worry About the Haters
“I have used all the manure that has been thrown on me as fertilizer to make me stronger.” – Eartha Kitt
If there are people in your life who don’t understand you, rest assured that you are not alone. Even somebody as fabulous and gorgeous as Eartha Kitt had her share of haters.
Instead of letting them get you down, use their negativity as fuel to help you grow stronger.
5. Marilyn Monroe – Tip: Find Your Signature Scent
“What do I wear in bed? Why, Chanel No. 5, of course.” – Marilyn Monroe
Scent is closely tied to our emotions, making perfume a powerful tool. Applying a scent that makes you feel fantastic can boost your confidence and enhance your sense of beauty.
Take a tip from Marilyn Monroe and find your own signature scent for that extra touch of confidence and femininity.
6. Mae West – Tip: Live Life to the Fullest
“You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough.” – Mae West
Choosing to embrace the woman within is a bold decision. You should be applauded for this! Many people never dare to express their deepest desires or true selves.
As Mae West said, you only live once. So, live life to the fullest, embracing your feminine self every step of the way.

Hi everyone, I went out to my favorite bar the other night and I wore a long dress and I felt sexy and elegant. Like others said it is mostly how you feel about yourself and project yourself to others. I walked in feeling sexy and confident and it was amazing. One lady came up to me and said I looked amazing and I reminded her of Audrey Hepburn, that made me smile and very happy exactly the look I was going for. She said it wasnt just my dress, jewelry or the shoes I was wearing it was how I held myself and the confidence she could feel from me as I walked in and sat down. That made me feel even better. Love Robyn.

Hi Lucille
My favorite Actress is Ann Margret. She is so beautiful, and fun loving. That and she supported our troops during a period when being in the military was highly frowned upon, especially if they had enlisted.
But as for my role model, Hun I have to say it’s you. You care for us, guide us, mentor us and from what I can tell love us all.
So thank you Lucille, Luv ya bunches.
Much love

For me,it’s not the clothes, shoes or hair or makeup. It’s about being true to who I really am. The ladies mentioned, were truly glamorous and feminine. While they do give inspiration, my biggest inspiration is my mother who regrets my waiting so late in life to come out to her. She has taught me that our femininity comes not from what we wear but comes from within ourselves. I’ve learned that I can go from a day on the lake or river with my boyfriend to an elegant evening of dinner and theater,and be feminine either way. She told me if a woman feels beautiful and feminine inside herself, then she is beautiful and feminine on the outside as well. Thanks to you and her I’ve learned that a woman can be feminine no matter the situation or what she’s wearing.
I always loved Ann Margaret and wanted to be like her. I always thought she was ultra feminine and gorgeous!
My favorite classic Hollywood stars are Doris Day (also my favorite singer), Sandra Dee, Esther Williams and Cyd Charisse.
In addition to divas and quotes, there are other suggestions from the 1950s:
– short to medium lenght hair;
– make up in glorious colors and altering design. ‘Natural’ was definitely out of fashion;
– dress that created curves;
– bullet bras, corsets and girdles determined the famous hourglass silhouette of the period. Most genetic women inserted falsies (even with nipples) in their bullet bras;
– last but not least, the stiletto heeled shoes.
Many kisses to everybody!
I’m sorry: in the third point I meant “dresses that created curves”.
Many kisses again!
