Choosing the right perfume is a key part of expressing yourself as a woman. Scent is strongly linked to emotions – and the right perfume can make you feel irresistibly feminine.
But how do you find that perfect feminizing scent? I’m glad you asked!
In this blog post, written specifically for crossdressers and transgender women, I’ll guide you through various perfume scents and the impressions they create.
By the end, you’ll be able to confidently pick a perfume that matches your unique style and enhances your femininity.
Floral Perfumes
Floral perfumes are created using the scent of a single flower, such as lavender, rose, gardenia, or geranium, or a combination of multiple flowers.
These fragrances are particularly suitable for crossdressers and transgender women since they are the most feminine of fragrances. Wear a floral perfume when you want to express your soft, romantic side.
Examples of floral perfumes include:
- Daisy by Marc Jacobs
- Estée Lauder White Linen
- Dior J’Adore
- Stella by Stella McCartney
- Kenzo Flower by Kenzo
- L‘Air du Temps by Nina Ricci
Fruity Perfumes
Fruity perfumes contain citrus scents, such as lemon, grapefruit, strawberry, peach, kiwi, etc.
With their fresh and youthful character, fruity perfumes are an excellent choice when you desire to feel confident and energetic.
Examples of fruity perfumes include:
- L.A.M.B. by Gwen Stefani
- Cartier Eau de Cartier
- Sun Flowers by Elizabeth Arden
- Beautiful Sheer by Estée Lauder
- DKNY by Donna Karan
- Emporio White by Giorgio Armani
Fresh Perfumes
Fresh perfumes, also known as green scents, are light and airy, evoking notes of grass, green leaves, and the ocean.
Energetic and rejuvenating, fresh perfumes are perfect for when you’re “en femme” as they elevate your mood and create a comforting atmosphere.
Examples of fresh perfumes include:
- J.Lo Glow by Jennifer Lopez
- Fifth Avenue by Elizabeth Arden
- Diorissimo, Dune by Christian Dior
- Bond No. 9
- Safari by Ralph Lauren
Oriental Perfumes
Oriental perfumes emanate a rich and dramatic aura, blending scents of spices, musk, vanilla, and intense flowers.
These perfumes exude a sexy and sophisticated allure. Just remember to opt for a lighter fragrance, as oriental perfumes can lean towards the masculine side.
Examples of oriental perfumes include:
- Dior Addict
- Lancome Attraction
- Opium by Yves Saint Laurent
- Samsara by Guerlain
- Lalique Perfume by Lalique
- Sun Moon & Stars by Karl Lagerfeld
Woody Perfumes
Woody perfumes are heavy and dramatic and incorporate scents like sandalwood, patchouli, and cedar.
While woody perfumes are sensual and exotic, they lean more towards the masculine spectrum of fragrances. Hence, you may want to avoid this particular type.
Examples of woody perfumes include:
- Passion by Elizabeth Taylor
- Escada by Escada
- Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker
- Cashmere Mist by Donna Karan
- Habanita by Molinard
- Givenchy Organza

I most like wearing tommy girl perfume as it’s just right for
Giving a nice feminine scent which picks up my mood and feelings into the girly mode.
I used to different perfumes myself depending on how I feel or time of day. One of them is the older perfume fire and ice by Revlon in my second choice I like during the day time Tommy girl 🙂
The fragrance I wear most of the time is Marc Jacobs.
I am almost out, time to do some more perfume shopping.
My favorite, and possibly a selection from above.
My signature Fragrance is Georgio; has been for many years, no substitute, in my opinion. However in a recent attempt to be more explorative, l have taken a liking to Beautiful by estee lauder. Both fragrances stimulate a strong feminine & sexy sense of being and when I feel that, look out, I’m in a powerful hot & aggressive female role!
Fleurissimo by Creed.
A blend of tubereuse, Bulgarian rose, violet and Florentine iris.
Top note: Bergamot
Middle note: Tuberose, Bulgarian Rose, Violet, Florentine Iris
Base note: Ambergris
Creed says this about it: Fleurissimo will bring out the princess in any woman, and inspire her to dream of royal beauty and romance. Fleurissimo is a classic floral fragrance commissioned by a royal prince for his American bride on her wedding day. Fleurissimo was made to complement the royal bouquet she carried down the aisle. Fleurissimo is a magnificent blend of Hollywood glamour and royal quality. In 2006, the House of Creed celebrated the 50th anniversary of the royal wedding and of the renowned fragrance.
The only bride that could have been was Grace Kelly! Creed won’t or can’t say that, but the perfume was created for Grace Kelly.
I won’t say that it makes me feel like a princess, but it is a highly floral scent, and it helps me to feel as if I were a genetic woman. I get lots of compliments on it and it has become my signature fragrance. My girlfriend help me pick it out at some fancy schmancy perfumery. I was look for a scent that had a predominant iris fragrance to it, and which went well with my skin, and this one does the trick.
It is really important for me that the perfume I wear not have any artificial or synthetic ingredients, as I generally haver an allergic reaction to them: sneezing, eyes watering, and the like. This perfume is all natural ingredients. I was lucky enough to score a “millesime” bottle, which means that the best crops from a particular year’s harvest were used to make the perfume.
In selecting a scent, I recommend that you only try a few because if you try too many, you will not be able to keep them straight and they can overpower one another. When I selected this perfume, I tried four perfumes with lots of iris in them (guess why), smelling them first on cards and then sticking my nose in coffee beans after each smell test. Then I made two patches on the insides of each arm. I immediately smelled each one and made a few notes (that gives you the top note scent). I then waited about 15 minutes and smelled them again (that gives you the middle note. After an hour has passed I smelled them again. They all changed over time. I liked the Fleurissimo the best after one hour (that is when it has faded somewhat and gives you the base or basic note–and by that time it had completely evaporated) and it works well for several hours of dancing.
Lastly, please do not overdo how much you use. You do not want to be overpoweringly obnoxious, but tastefully and delicately beautiful.
