There are a lot of details that go into creating an attractive feminine image. From clothing and hair to makeup and shoes – the list can seem endless!
If you’re a crossdresser or transgender woman preparing for your male to female makeover, you’re in the right place.
To help you stay organized, I’ve crafted a simple Flawless Feminine Image Checklist.
Can you confidently answer “YES” to these 10 questions?
If you can, you’re all set to showcase your fabulous feminine self to the world!
10 Elements of a Flawless Feminine Image
1. Is your shapewear helping to enhance your feminine curves?
Your body’s silhouette powerfully communicates your gender identity to the world. Are you using the right undergarments to achieve your ideal feminine shape?
Here are some recommended items to have in your wardrobe:
- Breast forms
- A properly fitting bra
- Waist cincher or shaping camisole
- Padded panties with butt and hip padding
- Control top pantyhose or tights
While you don’t need to wear all of these pieces at once, they’re good to have on hand in case you want to enhance your shape to match a specific outfit.
2. Are you wearing stylish and flattering clothes that suit your body shape?
Selecting the right clothing is crucial to achieving a polished look. Opt for stylish and flattering clothes that complement your body shape and personal style.
Understanding your body proportions will help you choose outfits that not only fit well but also enhance your femininity.
3. Does your makeup look natural, well-balanced, and attractive?
A common makeup mistake, especially for those just starting their male-to-female makeup journey, is going overboard. When presenting as a woman, it’s important to avoid this error.
In most cases, a light and natural makeup look is the way to go. However, there are two exceptions to keep in mind:
- If you have darker coloring, you can opt for deeper and bolder shades.
- When heading out for an evening event, you can embrace higher-intensity makeup to suit the occasion.
4. Is your skincare routine giving you a clear and radiant complexion?
A clear and radiant complexion is the foundation of any feminine image. Develop a skincare routine tailored to your skin type that includes cleansing, moisturizing, and sun protection.
Regular exfoliation and hydration will leave your skin glowing and ready to showcase your makeup skills.
5. Does your hairstyle flatter your face shape with a feminine touch?
Beautiful hair is an important part of your overall image. To soften masculine facial features, choose a hairstyle with soft waves or layers. Stay away from angular styles.
Shiny hair makes you look sexy and youthful, so use a smoothing serum if you have dry or frizzy hair. I like Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Anti-Frizz Serum for Frizzy, Dry Hair.
If you wear a wig, be sure to wash it regularly and use a finishing spray like Bonfi Natural Oil-Free Wig Shine Spray.
6. Do you exude confidence and poise through your body language and gestures?
Confidence is the key to a flawless feminine image. Work on exuding confidence and poise through your body language and gestures.
Stand tall, maintain eye contact, and move gracefully. Confidence is not only attractive but also empowering.
7. Have you been practicing a feminine voice and communication skills?
Perfecting a feminine voice and honing your communication skills are essential aspects of your transformation.
Seek guidance from voice coaches or speech therapists to help you achieve a voice that aligns with your feminine image.
Effective communication is the bridge that connects your inner self with the world.
8. Are your nails well-groomed and looking their best?
Your hands and nails are often noticed, so keeping them well-groomed is essential.
Regular manicures, proper nail care, and choosing feminine nail colors can enhance your overall image.
9. Are you wearing jewelry and accessories that complement your outfit?
Accessorizing can elevate your outfit and add a personal touch to your style. Choose jewelry and accessories that complement your clothing and express your unique taste.
From statement necklaces to elegant earrings, the right pieces can complete your look beautifully.
10. Are you embracing your unique femininity and staying true to yourself?
Above all, remember to embrace your unique femininity and stay true to yourself.
Your journey is about self-expression and authenticity. Be proud of who you are, and let your inner beauty shine through!
In Conclusion
If you answered “yes” to each of the questions on this checklist, then congratulations! Now it’s time to step out and enjoy your flawless feminine image.
Be sure to keep this checklist handy so you can refer to it each time you present yourself as a woman.
As always, I’d love to hear your thoughts. Is there anything you would add to this list? Please share your comments below!

Again very good advice Lucille. I try to apply all you advised on as a rule. Here is me today at Macy’s trying on some dresses. I bought the one you see. The sales ladies treat me like just another female customer. I love being a woman! Thanks

Hi Lucille honey goodness girlfriend I’m back again I’m living dangerously I am lol I’m going off topic nothing new about that I’ve been listening to Amy Lee perhaps some of you do as well I like her music and her voice especially not that I could ever sing like her but I do tend to massacre her songs on guitar more often these days the verdict is still out on my playing of guitar as of yet having my own method of playing I tend to like being different from the crowd to myself I think music is an interpretation of the heart I’ve listened to much in my years as time went by my choices have changed as to who I liked Carlos Santana is one of my favorite guitarists along with David Gilmour, Lindsey Buckingham, Lita Ford, and many more singers change too of course I like Stevie Nicks, Pat Benetar, Janis Joplin, Heart of course both sister’s Ann and Nancy Wilson are great one of my favorites I have many of those anyway I Love You Lucille and all my other Girlfriend’s here too Love MJ aka DragonLady
Hi Lucille, as usual your critiques are more than helpful and really give women like me the confidence to move forward. I wish I could say the same for some of the other comments – is the plot lost ?
Hi Diane your extremely refined I see quite attractive too I’m glad you enjoy Lucille’s help along with the rest of us girls we need all the help we can get don’t we confidence is a must along with keeping ourselves in good shape muscularity is a tough one for us to avoid that fine line between being overly defined and a feminine smoothness without too many veins giving us away to any of our onlookers HRTs help I’m sure along with hair removal nice clothes and all the accessories that go along with them plots are good in books and movies too Love MJ aka DragonLady
While I am working on some of those things, I still enjoy going out.
I always go to see my therapist as Sandy, and often stop to do some shopping on the way home. I dress appropriately, but my make-up skills still need some work. My hair is not yet long enough, so I wear my wig, which is probably a bit young for a 66year old woman. But, I don’t really look that old. While I have not received any comments, positive or negative, I have received a number of smiles. I will be starting hormone treatment in January. LOL…Can’t wait. The best to you and yours, and a Happy Holiday Season to all.
The biggest thing for me is I need a new purse because mine is falling apart. and I haven’t found one to match my style, Does any one know of any good ones that aren’t to expensive for every day use. Here is a pick how I look and dress sometimes.
Try the Jacqueline smith collection.my first purse was from her collection.
Thank you ill have to check them out and see what I can find.
Not to be mean MJ, But you might want to try using some punctuation’s in your messages. It can be difficult to figure out where a sentance or thought ends and the next one starts. Not complaining, Just making a suggestion.
Hello,
Yes..to all of the above.
Best to all,
Wanita
I’d like to leave a glowing review for Lucie’s site — totally professional and yet full of empathy, full of good judgement and never judgmental, always sexy and never sexualised. I’ve also seen here some of the best comments from posters because they always address a very precise question and can therefore be useful to others. Only one wish or regret (as several have mentioned) : if only there could be a part focusing on — or dedicated to — the older crossdresser or T-girl. I belong to the unlucky generation that did not have access to you, Lucille. By the way, may I be inquisitive ? — your last name (Sorella) — does it happen to be your real name or have you chosen it for its very poetic undertones — “little sister” in Italian ? Are you all of us girls’ “little sister” ? Thanks for everything, even if I can’t take advantage of much.
