When it comes to expressing your gender identity, navigating labels can be tricky. For those identifying as transgender or non-binary, finding the right words is essential.
Obviously, it’s important for people to use language that respects and reflects your identity. Outdated or offensive terms can be hurtful.
However, it’s important to remember that you’re more than just a label!
Ultimately, what matters most is how you personally want to be addressed, regardless of where you fall on the gender spectrum.
So, let’s talk about it!
Do you have a particular term or label that resonates with you – such as crossdresser, transgender woman, non-binary person, or something else?
I’m eager to hear your thoughts, so let’s continue the conversation in the comments below!
Love,
Lucille
I certainly consider myself as a crossdresser albeit an elderly one. I spend a lot of time everyday thinking about it all and have come to the decision that I much prefer to be dressed as a woman as much as possible. At the moment I am sat at my computer in a very nice figure hugging dress and lingerie but within an hour I shall have to dress as a man for most of the day but I shall return to being a woman this evening. Hope this helps someone out there.
I’m an odd duck. Maybe it’s hormonal, but I swing all the way from “100% male” to “100% female” normally settling around the middle (though a bit on the feminine side normally) it varies almost randomly though with no real pattern, sometimes I go weeks without dressing, sometimes I do it several times a day for short periods, sometimes all-day for several days. While I think I would have been happier if I’d been born female, I dont think I’ll ever transition due to multiple factors (including the simple fact that I’m “ok” with being a man *and* woman like this) so I dont identify as TG (though I accept “GLBT” as an umbrella term at times)
I dont like how tiny most labels are, and how the appropriate ones are often misunderstood. If I have to explain I tell people I’m “bi-gendered” and they usually ask if that means I have two sets of genitals, or if I’m saying “bisexual” (which I also am) though at the same time I learned not to fight it and accept what lables I’m given with a shrug and a smile, often only correcting people when I have important reason to (it’s not like they’re going to remember it anyway, and despite the confusion where I live is very accepting of homo and bisexuality) and while I dont flaunt it, I openly tell people I crossdress (though rarely close to home since I have the feeling that would cross a line in this rural mountain community despite the acceptance of what I say about myself), and I will if asked comment on both men and women I find attractive.
Ultimately I think the right label for me is “Open” I’ll talk about anything and explain it in whatever detail the other person wants, though to answer directly “Bi-gendered” or less accurately “crossdresser” since it’s not a full-time thing.
Hi All! Well I don’t really like a label put on me, but if any I tend to use t-girl!
You are prettier than many genetic girls.
Daphne that’s sweet of you to say, thank you!!!!!
I am a Cross Dressing Sissy that services men for pleasure. I am not submissive, but I am passive when servicing men.
I’m absolutely a transgender person, i have a lot of space from my wife, The woman part increases more in more over the years.
Step by step i’m coming closer to myself to who i wanna be.
I very much describe my self as transwoman.
