Choosing the right words to describe your gender identity can feel tricky. For transgender and non-binary people, finding a label that fits is personal and important.
Using respectful language matters. Outdated or offensive terms can hurt, so it’s okay to set boundaries about how others address you.
At the same time, you are more than a label. What matters most is how you choose to define yourself, no matter where you are on the gender spectrum.
Do you have a label that feels right – like crossdresser, transgender woman, non-binary, or something else?
I’d love to hear your thoughts, so let’s continue the conversation in the comments below!
Love,
Lucille
I know I am a transgender woman by some kind of a scientifical definition.
However, having lived as a woman full time for almost six years, and having my surgery four years ago, I am a woman which is stated in my passport as well as in my drivers licensce.
Deep in my mind I am aware of my background, but that is that.
I have a new job where only my group leader knows a bit of my background and everybody treats me like the somewhat aged woman I am turning into.
So, I am a woman.
The first few years I thought a lot about it but now it is everyday life.

Jeanette, Stockholm, Sweden.
Definitely a cross dresser, have been for years, virtually part time.
Drilling down a bit, spend time being a sissy maid, no French maids outfit & heels, usually skirt, top and flats – love it
I am not very keen in getting labelled or categorised. Unfortunately I was born as a man, even though on the inside I am a woman and that is what I want to be and recognised as and that is what I am determined to be.
I don’t label myself TG or any of those I just say I am a woman. Which I truly am not fully on the outside yet.
Hi all,
Labels have never really mattered to me or my family for that matter however t-girl is a kind of fun one to me so that’s my preference if had to choose.
