Age is a popular topic around here and I’m occasionally asked…
“Am I too old to crossdress?” or “Am I too old to transition as a transgender woman?”
My response?
NO, of course not!
Whether you are a so-called mature crossdresser – or an older MTF woman beginning her transition – it is NEVER too late to be your true female self.
I believe that the true desires or your heart are meant to be expressed – no matter how long they’ve been buried.
Is it true that your age may have an impact on hormone therapy or surgery? Yes, that’s possible. But a good doctor will guide you on your best and safest options.
The fact remains that you can transition and/or present yourself as a woman at any point in life.
In fact, embracing your feminine side can give you a whole new lease on life…
I see it all the time: People seem to grow years younger when they make the decision to be themselves fully.
Having the courage to express your true self also inspires others to do the same. The world needs more of this!
In the words of Laverne Cox:
“It is revolutionary for any trans person to choose to be seen and visible in a world that tells us we should not exist.”
I’ll say it again: You are NEVER too old to be your true female self.
So, I encourage you to take that next step and do whatever it is that you’ve been holding back on.
You deserve it. And it’s not too late!
Do you agree that age is just a number?
Now I’d love to hear from YOU on this topic…
How old were you when you decided to fully embrace your female self? (Or are you still waiting?)
Let’s continue the conversation in the comments below!
Love,
Lucille

Age is totally just a number. I’ve been a non transitioning mtf all my life. Because of family obligations and in a relationship with a non gay cis female. I limited my girl time. Now that family has grown (they are fully aware of my transgenderism) and my partner has moved into those post menopausal years. It’s becoming more and more evident that we could become a couple of female roommate companion types. And still have a lot of fun. She has asked me to pick a side, and at 62, I’ve ready and waiting to put my girl on.
I always realise since a young age I were different, suppressing it through the years made life really difficult for me.six years ago at the age of fourty,I finaly made peace with my self, and ever since that day iam a much happier person, and at piece with myself
I was 57 when I started to transition( first picture) and I am 63 now (second picture). I have had full GRS Surgery and I am in heaven now and living full time as a woman.
Hi Lucille and girls
I’ve been struggling with my gender dysphoria since I was 5 years old and thanks en part to your help with your courses and advice , i got the courage and I decide 3 years ago start my transition to live full time as a woman, I start my HRT 10 months ago and never be so happy in my life, and I been really surprise how well I pass in public and I think is because I learn a lot of “femme secrets” in you website from how to dress to comportment .unfortunately because of my job situation I can’t make full transition right now but if everything goes well good willing I going to be living full time maybe in a year from now.
I am not going to say my age because I want you girls to guess my age
Much love joanna
You are making progress, stay the course
Thanks Billie!!
I don’t feel that age is a factor. It’s just a different set of strengths and weaknesses. I came out at Age 29 and after a few years relented because I was starving to death. I came out again at 49 and have never looked back!
Your never to Old but I want to transition with hormones but health conditions make it impossible so I have to settle for crossdressing
I’m 70 (the picture was taken a few weeks ago).
I’ve known since early childhood that I was female, but didn’t start presenting my true self to the world when I was 65.
I finally came out July 13th, 2016. I am 55 now (Nov). I have had a wonderful time. As of March 23rd, 2017, I legally became Dawn Marie. I will start hrt April 17th. The world is my oyster.
