Hello ladies!
I’m excited to share this guest post from Jecca Blac – a UK based, gender-free makeup brand that celebrates all makeup wearers.
In this MTF makeup tutorial, the Jecca Blac team shares a quick and helpful video demonstrating how blush placement can transform and feminize your face.
Enjoy!
Love,
Lucille
Did you know blush placement can transform your face? From lifting cheekbones to adding fullness to the apples of the cheeks, blush is an immediate quick fix for adding a healthy glow to the skin, without taking too much time out of your regime.
In our video, Vicky uses our Red Touch Play Pot (a cream pigment which can be applied as a blush, eyeshadow or lip tint) to show just how versatile blush can be when patted onto different parts of the face.
Lifted
If you want to lift the face and show off those angles, start by dabbing some product to the highest point of the cheekbones and then blend out with a beauty sponge as Vicky does.
Shorten Face
Some transfeminine makeup wearers look to create the appearance of a smaller, rounder face shape. This can be achieved by drawing attention to the center of the face, as Vicky does here.
Keeping product on the front of the apple of the cheeks, with less of a focus on the cheekbones, adds an illusion of plumpness to the middle of the face, taking away from the length of the face.
Enhance Cheekbones
Vicky tucks the product just below the highest point of her cheekbones – a bit like a contour. This lifts and widens the cheekbone.
Add Fullness
Vicky demonstrates how to add fullness to the lower part of the face by adding some product just next to her mouth area.
While we at Jecca Blac do not believe there are any rules binding any makeup wearer to striving for traditionally feminine features, achieving fullness with a makeup look is an immediate step that can soften any harsher features on the face.
Sunkissed
For a youthful, summer ready glow, Vicky taps Play Pot across the middle of her face, making sure to add some product to her nose, too.
We hope you loved our tips today and we look forward to sharing lots more very soon!
