Age is a popular topic around here and I’m occasionally asked…
“Am I too old to crossdress?” or “Am I too old to transition as a transgender woman?”
My response?
NO, of course not!
Whether you are a so-called mature crossdresser – or an older MTF woman beginning her transition – it is NEVER too late to be your true female self.
I believe that the true desires or your heart are meant to be expressed – no matter how long they’ve been buried.
Is it true that your age may have an impact on hormone therapy or surgery? Yes, that’s possible. But a good doctor will guide you on your best and safest options.
The fact remains that you can transition and/or present yourself as a woman at any point in life.
In fact, embracing your feminine side can give you a whole new lease on life…
I see it all the time: People seem to grow years younger when they make the decision to be themselves fully.
Having the courage to express your true self also inspires others to do the same. The world needs more of this!
In the words of Laverne Cox:
“It is revolutionary for any trans person to choose to be seen and visible in a world that tells us we should not exist.”
I’ll say it again: You are NEVER too old to be your true female self.
So, I encourage you to take that next step and do whatever it is that you’ve been holding back on.
You deserve it. And it’s not too late!
Do you agree that age is just a number?
Now I’d love to hear from YOU on this topic…
How old were you when you decided to fully embrace your female self? (Or are you still waiting?)
Let’s continue the conversation in the comments below!

Key is Dressing Age Appropriately.
If you are in your early 60’s like me, you do not try to dress like an 18 year old.
This doesn’t mean you have to look like “Granny Clampett” who was the same age as me.
You can wear Clothing that is stylish to knock maybe 10-12 years off, Hairstyles, or Wigs, MakeUp too.
Be realistic, you’re not 17 or 18
It’s never to late to start being your true self!
I stated living full time as the woman I know and feel that I am 15 years go. I wouldn’t change a thing how ever if I had the money to transform filly as the woman I am I would do it !!
I have been dressing as my true self for 15 years .. and I am young at heart. At 77 now.
I didn’t start dressing till 2018 at age 60. I’d hung out with CDs and trans women the three years previous. I stopped for a year and a half, but got the urge again in early 2020. I learned how to do makeup and bought some outfits and later that year at age 62, a CD friend and I started going out in public together to clubs and restaurants and events, as well as shopping, most weekends and I’d go out solo occasionally on a weekday evening. She ended up moving to a trans friendly city we used to hangout in and started her transition in her early 50s and has lived as a woman for the last 3 1/2 years, also eventually coming out at the company she owns. I was about a year or a little less behind her due to my home situation at the time. I moved 1400 miles away in late 2022 and have lived full time as a woman here since that day. I was 64 about 3 months from turning 65 when I started my transition. I am lucky enough to look much younger than my actual age. I’m 67, but nobody believes me when I tell them that. Most think I’m in my early to mid 50s and a few have guessed mid to late 40s, which never ceases to amaze me. I don’t dress like I’m a teenager, but I don’t dress like a senior citizen either. I probably dress like I’m in my 40s or 50s and it seems to work for me.
And you look lovely Leonara
I have tried twice to get the Male to Female Transformation Course to no avail.
