What’s your proudest accomplishment on your MTF journey so far?
It could be a major milestone like starting hormone therapy, coming out to a friend, or going out in public as a woman for the first time.
Or it could be a smaller victory, like buying your first lipstick or choosing your feminine name.
Even if you’re just starting out, there’s a lot to celebrate. Acknowledging your true self is a significant step forward!
So let’s hear it! What is your greatest transgender or crossdressing achievement?

Coming out to my wife of 30 years…the first time I came out to anyone during the over five decades of hiding my femme self. That was two years ago, we are still together and have adjoining closets. 🙂
Hi I have had many ups and downs on my journey. The one which I think is the most important to me was a couple of Christmases ago when visiting my mum,in a quiet moment she took my hands in hers and told me I had become her favourite daughter. I know it may seem trivial but those few simple words of love and acceptance I will treasure for ever.

That’s not trivial, that’s amazing and just lovely!
Lucille, A few years ago I was visiting a male friend of mind in Jacksonville,Fla and it was during Mother’s day week-end. We went out for dinner at a local restaurant. He opened the door for me, we then entered the restaurant and he told the hostess we need a table for two. The hostess then seated us and told us that our waitress would be with us shortly. After a minute the hostess returned and handed me a beautiful long stem red rose and said “Happy Mother’s Day” to me! I was very surprised but, felt very feminine and beautiful inside! However, the group for ladies at the next table said, “How come she gets a rose and we didn’t?” That made me feel extra special inside! The hostess went and gave the ladies at the other table each a rose. So, I’d say that at least I felt like I was special on Mother’s Day! Diana
The moment I first thought about was when I first went out as a woman quite some time ago. Just to be out, seen and accepted as a woman so quickly. I don’t know how to describe my feelings. That has been replaced now by some recent events. My best moments now occur on a daily basis. I see a lot of people every day as a man so what of it you might ask? Many see me at my work and address me as a woman with out thinking about it or they ask, are you a woman or a man I can’t tell. I have a bit of a journey left to mostly satisfy me as far as image goes. I say mostly because I believe, as man or woman, we are never satisfied with our image but it will be close enough. To be seen as a woman now without even making the effort is now my best transgender achievement. Janet Mock’s doctor after her surgery congratulated her on achieving her next greatest happiness. He told her to be able to live as a woman is a great happiness in itself. I have many moments but this is one of the best.
Yeah, hot, and really smart, athletic, no downside!
How could anyone think you might be a guy – you look great – congratulations
My greatest accomplishment has been to live as a female consistently from the time that I began to live full time. It seems as such a success, because I tried to transition in 1997, and lost my courage, and repressed my true self for 10-12 years before working toward transition again.

I went out with a gaggle of CDs to a nice restaurant along with a gg and her mom. After dinner (while we were making everyone giggle at a very bad karaoke contest in the bar), the gg’s mom asked “why didn’t you tell me another real girl was with with your friends?” as she went to give me a hug. Um, honey, inside I AM a real girl but… 🙂 Greatest feeling ever!
Although I’ve celebrated many milestones in my TG journey, a recent one comes to mind. I was going out to dinner with 2 very lovely TG friends and a GG met us at the restaurant. I decided to wear a relatively simple dress. We had a lovely conversation with this GG woman and really enjoyed the meal. Afterwards, unbeknownst to me, this woman told my very dear TG friend that she felt I was the most convincing woman she had met. My friend, who is very pretty and has won a number of beauty contests, was a bit disappointed and asked the GG,”And, what am I? Chopped liver?” I couldn’t stop smiling.
Oh Girlfriend – U look Terriffic !
