Nothing is more attractive than a great pair of legs… And that means you’re in luck since most crossdressers and transgender women have gorgeous, defined legs. (I’m jealous!)
How can you make your legs your BEST feminine asset?
Keep reading to discover 3 ways to make your legs look (even more) amazing.
1. Add Some Color
Smooth, tanned legs are SEXY legs. But what if you have pale legs marred with scars, bruises, or visible veins?
Pantyhose are one option. The other option is to add color and cover imperfections with a tan (either a real tan or a spray tan) or leg makeup.
I’m a big fan of Sally Hansen Salon Airbrush Legs. It’s like sexy spray-on pantyhose that gives you perfect legs. Look for it at your local drugstore.
2. Show Off Your Legs In Sexy Shoes
The right shoes can take your legs from good to great. Anything goes as long as you keep these two tips in mind:
- Go high, but not TOO high. High heels make your legs look sexy and feminine, but be careful not to go too high if you have very defined legs. The higher the heel, the more your calf muscles contract. This can make your legs look overly muscular and masculine.
- Choose a rounded toe. Square toe shoes make legs look stumpy, while pointy toes add unwanted inches to the feet. Round toe shoes will give you the long-leg/dainty-foot look you’re going for.
3. Choose The Right Skirt Length
When it comes to showing off your legs in a skirt, shorter is NOT always better. Here are 3 tips for choosing the right skirt length:
- Try the finger length test: Stand up straight and put your arms to your side. If your fingertips fall past the hem of your skirt, it’s too short.
- You should also avoid skirts that are too long. Calf length skirts tend to look dowdy – besides, we want to see those gorgeous gams!
- The most flattering skirt lengths are from mid thigh to just above or just below the knee.
Let’s see your lovely legs!
As always, I’d love to hear your thoughts on this topic.

I like my skirt just above my maybe a little split in my skirt just in case I want to show a little extra leg
How would you modify your advice for older people Lucille? I am almost 60 and feel that calf-length skirts and dresses are better for me, particularly without hose in the summer. On the other hand, I spent my young years playing football (soccer in Canada), riding a bicycle or climbing hills, and therefore my legs are very strong looking…
Thanks, Anna María
Shorter skirts than you recommend I still think are appropriate for certain occasions. The trick is to make sure all else you’re wearing with it is classy and tasteful enough, and your makeup, jewelry, accessory items too. That can mean the difference between slutty and respectably “hot!” Instead of a sexy but tasteful cocktail dress for a dressy but informal occasion, an outfit including a shorter skirt can suffice just as well. I think the example you show of the short skirt with the caption “Don’t” may not be appropriate for the work place, classroom, etc., always, yet at the same time, I still think it appears respectable enough. Unless you’re really going for a vintage look, most of the contemporary pleated skirts are made to be worn a little shorter, and they’re a respectable wardrobe choice. My two cents. Xoxo Randa
My prior posting was with light, airy, crepe summer top. And here’s that same classic black pencil skirt paired with a heavier rib-knit pink sweater-top . . . and those same super sheer nude thigh-highs still work great
Either way you are pulling off the look quite well.
That’s the true test is to be able to pass among other women. I feel so special when they don’t know. Success!
Thanks so much Daphne. I really appreciate your encouragement. It seems to work with me out in public among a lot of people – I always hope I will blend in as “just another woman walking by”.
Gals and guys have always told me (and continue to tell me) that my legs look great in dresses and skirts. Lucille, your fingertip rule is exactly what I’ve been using for years. I stay away from too short, and never do frumpy (or worse, floor-dusters). Always stay around 2″-3″ above my knees, like this classic black pencil skirt. Silky smooth shave, moisturizer, and either jet black sheer OR nude sheer lace-top thigh-highs.
Generally I would agree with you on Skirt lengths but the midi skirt is very popular this year and they range from just slightly below mid-knee to mid-calf and there are some very attractive outfits. Check out skirts I love and midi skirts on my Pinterest pages. I generally favor the longer skirts on many occasions which are just above the ankles. You can say what you wish about long skirts but I find them very feminine in contrast to the short skirt for the sexy look. Since I am more mature (over 50), it’s easier to blend with the fem look
A touch of lace seems to enhance leg attraction on a night out too!
I have been told that i already have great looking legs, but i will keep your tip in mind to make them look even better!
THANK YOU!
