The right pair of shoes can instantly transform the way you look, feel, and walk. That’s why a girl can never own too many pairs!
Of course, not all shoes are created equal and some styles are much more flattering and feminizing than others.
That’s why in this blog post, I’ve compiled the top 7 shoe styles for crossdressers and transgender women.
From classy high heels to comfortable flats, here are the best MTF shoes to enhance your feminine image.
1. Classic Black Pumps
What could be more chic than a pair of classic black pumps? They add a polished look to any outfit, making them a feminine wardrobe staple.
For the most mileage, choose a closed-toe, full back style with a heel that’s high enough to help loosen up your hips as you walk.
2. Ballet Flats
You don’t have to wear high heels to look feminine!
Ballet flats are a fantastic option, especially if you’re on the taller side or want to look pretty and stylish without sacrificing comfort.
3. D’Orsay Pumps
The d’Orsay is a beautiful and elegant pump style in which the sides are cut away to reveal the arch of the foot.
D’Orsay pumps are perfect for showing off shapely legs – an asset for most crossdressers and transgender women.
4. T-Straps
T-straps add a sexy touch to pumps, high heel sandals, and flats. T-strap shoes have two distinct benefits:
- The ankle strap offers extra support for your ankles, making them easier to walk in than other heels.
- The vertical line created by the center strap draws the eye upwards, making your legs look longer.
5. Nude Heels
If you’re on a budget, nude heels will give you the most mileage since they can be worn with literally any color of outfit.
Choose a nude tone that blends in with your skin to make your legs look miles long – an added bonus!
6. Wedges
Still trying to master walking in heels? Then consider a wedge heel. Since the sole covers more ground, they’re much easier to walk in.
One caveat: Wedges have a chunky look, so they are best for those with thinner legs. Stay away from them if you have large or muscular legs.
7. Tall Boots
Boots are sexy and sassy, so they’re a wardrobe must.
Choose knee high boots for the most elegant look. Tall boots are more flattering and slimming than ankle boots or boots that hit the middle of the calf.
Let’s talk shoes!
Of course, these 7 shoe styles are only the beginning! While all of these options are fantastic, the best shoes are the ones that make YOU look and feel your best.
I could talk about shoes for days, so let’s keep the conversation going!
Take my poll and then and share a photo of yourself wearing your favorite shoes in the comments below!

There’s NOTHING as sexy as “twin spirits girls” wearing hosiery and stilettos.

I love high heels. My problem is to find shoes of my size with the high that I want, more than 11cm
I am in LOVE with stiletto heels! Most of my footwear wardrobe is spike heels and only one pair of them is under 4″ (3 1/2″)! I wear them very often around the house – and now I don’t feel really ‘dressed’ without them on. I do also have a couple of penny loafers which I can get away wearing outside with both m & f clothes, which nobody has ever picked up on.
I screwed up my courage and finally went to a Halloween party of friends and acquaintances I know from my ‘other’ life, ‘costumed’ as a kind of sexy witch…and was suprised to find virtually no negativity as to my choice. I even got comments from some of the genuine girls, including some good-natured kidding, like, “How come you got sexier legs than me?” and How can you walk in THOSE heels — I can’t even handle them!” …I wore my pride and joys – my 5″ patent leather stilettos (and told them I did a lot of practicing the previous week. …Of course I didn’t mention all of the other times!)

I love high heels, but they hurt my feet, am I doing something wrong, in picking the right size or width. I wear a size 10 women’s shoes and I have no arches. Any advice Please
What type of shoes should I be looking into then, if heels and things of the like don’t particulalry appeal to my taste?
I happen to favor practicality more, and it’s just difficult to move effectively with heels of any sort (although I’ve found that I can do so, its just not something I think I’d like to wear).
I love shoes no question…have 500+ pairs of them. They are art that you can wear…what fun!

Wow! Love your collection, TerriAnn. Can you come over and organize mine? 🙂 Ronae
I have 11 pairs of heels plus various flats. Also, all of the shoes I wear in public are man-styled womens shoes in a size 12 Wide. Payless is a good source, but lately it seems they are carrying fewer large sizes in their retail stores; probably due to the economy. Other good sources for me have been auditionsshoes.com and marylandsquare.com.
