It’s amazing how much our names shape our identities. Some names feel like a perfect fit from the start, while others never quite resonate with us.
However, crossdressers and transgender women have the unique opportunity to choose their own feminine names.
Every great MTF name has a story behind it, and I’d love to hear YOURS.
How did you choose your feminine name?
Please tell us your story in the comments below, and if you can, share a photo too. It’s always lovely to put a face to a name!
Love,
Lucille
I chose Jenny because I’ve always loved the name. And when I chose it, I wanted one that began with J as my given male name begins with a J. I use both Jen and Jenny.
Stephanie is close to Stephen and sounds nice so voila!
My given name was Richard, I decided I was not going to be Rikki. I went with Diana a very strong name emanating from the greek goddess and from my love of comics with Wonder Woman.
I choose maria cause its the name my mother will put if she have a daughter
I was a freshman in high school and a senior girl who was beautiful lived in my neighborhood and was always nice to me the whole school year. I always loved her clothes and style.
Hello,i choose marilyn..becaues of MARILYN..she was a # 1 icoon of femininity i loved her on TV in my youth..i and my Mom we looked at her films together(my Mom was very feminine stylish but modest lady)she feminized me …bit by bit..because she quikly noticed my fascination for her lingerie skirts dresses when i was 7-8years old…she looked somewhat as a mix if marilyn monroe&doris day…she NEVER wore pants..Never…she teached me everything of fashion& femininity
We both loved Marilyn
Something about the name Emily has had me in it’s grasp for as long as I can remember. I used to think it was what I was supposed to name my daughter when/if I had one. Now I see it was meant for me all along
Ginger (Gini for short)
It came to me as I was driving to work one day and has really stuck with me. Rather on the nose with the red hair, but, it just fits.
