Stepping out into the word as your female self can be incredibly empowering. It’s powerful validation for crossdressers and transgender women alike.
In this blog post, I want to dive into this topic and hear about your own experiences. How often do you present yourself as a woman in public?
Do you live as a woman full time? Do you crossdress regularly or on occasion? Or is the answer, sadly, “never”?
Please take my transgender / crossdressing survey and share your thoughts in the comments below!

Hey I’m julie, been dressing for nearly thirty years x
My first time in public was an evening walk. I dressed in house then slid into my car and drove a few miles it felt like my shackles had been cut removed since then I promised myself at least two twice a week and once a month in a weekend x My favorite julie time is shopping for girly stuff and getting out to a safe bar x
For complex reasons I was unable to express myself fully until a few months ago. So, now in my late 70s, I try to make up for lost time. With practice and online help from Lucille and other resources I’m gaining confidence and hope to step out soon. I feel and look my best en femme. Responses to Lucille’s question have been encouraging.
Only started going out as Jacqui about 10 years ago, even though I’ve been dressing since I was 10 or 11.
Still a thrill to pass as a woman, and the more I go out, the more my confidence grows.
Thanks Lucille for all the help you’ve provided over the years.
Lots of love,
Jacqui
Hi everyone I love going out as a female, i have a part time job as Robyn selling jewelry. I also still love being male, but it has taken me a long time to have the confidence to go out as Robyn but i love it now and dont care what others think. I do this for me not for others……Love you Lucille….
My name is Kaity and I have been full time for over 2 years, having legally changed my name and gender in 2016. When I first started working on a look, I found your site and I have enjoyed it a lot ever since. Glad to be among my sisters here! I am very minimalist when it comes to makeup, but that has never been an issue as some of the simplest of tricks I learned here helped me to create a look that has worked surprisingly well!
Hey girls, follow your hearts as they will lead to your dreams and your dreams will lead to your life in color! <3
I am dressing up around the house more frequently because it makes me feel so sexy. I am starting to go out more dressed as a woman as I gain confidence in applying my makeup better. I really struggle with getting my eyes right. I must be doing pretty good because no one has said anything negative to me.
I have found a lot of advice and comments here invaluable. I have known since I was ten that I was Rachel in a male body. Have been in female underwear since then. For various reasons I couldn’t step out but having read items here and talking with friends over the last few years I have become more confident and a couple of months ago told my wife and now live as Rachel 24/7. Waiting on gender clinic appointment and hoping in time to go the final step. Thank you all for your help
Other than when I go to church on Sundays, I dress enfemme all the time, even at work, the pic I posted is with one of my co-workers, I’m the blonde. It seems that I am accepted as a female and it feels great.
“Paula”…(Great Name!)…You are Looking very Sexy !!!
