Planning to step out en femme? Don’t forget your handbag! More than just a stylish accessory, your purse is a toolbox for your female self.
While a cluttered bag isn’t chic, there are some essentials you shouldn’t be without. You never know what life will throw at you – and a lady is always prepared!
In this blog post, I share 15 transgender / crossdressing items to keep in your purse when you are on the go.
1. Cell phone
Needless to say, you should never leave home without your phone. Besides, you never know when the perfect selfie opportunity will arise!
2. Lip Gloss or Lipstick
A moisturizing lip gloss or lipstick in your favorite shade is a female essential.
3. Mints or Gum
Freshen your breath on the go by keeping a stash of mints or gum on hand.
4. Nail File
There’s nothing more annoying than a broken nail, so throw one of these babies into your bag.
5. $20 Cash
Even though most of us rely on credit or debit cards, you never know when you might need some cash.
6. Hand Cream
Keep your hands feeling soft and feminine with a tube of hand cream.
7. Blotting Paper or Powder
Reduce shine on the go with blotting paper or pressed powder.
8. Bobby Pins
These come in handy if you need to secure your wig or tame some loose strands of hair.
9. Compact Mirror
A must-have for checking your teeth or makeup.
10. Stain Removal Pen
The sooner you treat an unexpected stain, the less likely it is to be permanent.
11. Band-Aids
Not just for cuts and scrapes, a Band-Aid can relieve blisters caused by new shoes.
12. Safety Pins
Those can be a lifesaver if you break a strap or pop a button.
13. Emergency Info
Not to be a downer, but if anything should happen, this could literally save your life.
14. Advil or Tylenol
Keep a couple painkillers on hand in case you get a surprise headache.
15. Healthy Snack
Hunger can sneak up on you, so keep a healthy snack bar or some nuts in your bag.

1) $20 is good, a hidden $100 bill in the car is even better, having both is the best.
2) Hunger is overrated… Snacks are clutter. Keep your figure baby!
A strange sounding, but true and effective tip: if you need blotting tissue get thee to the ladies room…..then find one of those seat covers (what, in the Marine Corps, we call “ass – gaskets). They take up the oil, leaving the makeup in pristine condition….and they are FREE.
This tip came from the makeup artist that readies the makeup for the Disneyland Princesses
Great idea
Love clare
I carry some pads because other reasons
I also agree with Tara about keeping a couple of tampons in my purse. I was leaving ladies room at a food court and noticed a girl and the ladies room attendent trying to get a tampon out of the tampon despencer which was obviously either jammed or empty I
I could see that the girl was upset so I reached in my purse and got a tampon out then smiling I approached her and handed the tampon to her.
She was so thankful and took it from me saying
I’m so embarrassed for not having any.tampons with me. Thank you so much.
Just go’s to show that you never know when someone might need a little help if their periods start unexpectedly
I also have the following items: comb, brush, $2.00 in various coins, Kleenex, bottle of nail polish, small notepad, pen, pillbox and a few snack ziplock bags
i like coin part. some problems can only be solved by quarters…
Everything you said plus tampons, small parfum spray or rollerball, qtips, earbuds, some change, phone charger or small spare battery, candy, and cuticle file.
IF your going out to ” Party” (get laid) having lube is helpful—
I know—Some of us are sluts-
You’re not a slut Jane.
You’re just being honest about what we like to do
I’m like you and like to party too.
I include condoms along with lube when I go out to get laid.
You’re safe and secure if you find someone to hook up with and he isn’t prepared for safe sex .
I love getting laid but only if he’s wearing a condom will I consent to it
I sincerely hope that you do too
thank you Janine–Nice to see that not everyone is negitive/nasty & paranoid–however–Wife (who is helping with my transition) & I were swingers for at least 25 yrs before she became disabled never insisted on condoms (except to prevent pregnancy) have had no problems–She was a Nurse–7 always said the risks were overblown–Her health problems now have nothing to do with sex-
I would add one item to that list. Pepper spray! Mine is about the size of tube of lipstick. A girl can never be too careful! I also carry a 4″, quick-open, pocket knife – for peace of mind. AND you never know where else it may come in handy.
