Expressing your feminine side is about much more than just clothes and makeup. After all, women are a little more complex than that!
That’s why I wanted to go beyond the obvious and explore some unexpected strategies to help you enhance your feminine expression.
In this blog post for crossdressers and transgender women, I share 3 unexpected ways to be more feminine. Read on to learn more!
1. Buy a New Perfume
The right perfume can make you feel irresistibly feminine. While it’s great to have a signature scent, sometimes it helps to switch things up and discover new perfumes to bring out your inner woman.
Here are some suggestions to match your desired vibe:
- Floral scents: Embrace your soft, romantic side with the allure of flowers.
- Fresh or fruity scents: Boost your confidence and energy levels with invigorating notes.
- Woody or oriental scents: Unleash your inner seductress with warm, captivating fragrances.

2. Be More Polite
Did you know that politeness plays a significant role in enhancing your feminine image?
Countless studies have shown that women tend to excel in the realm of manners, and adopting these social graces can truly elevate your femininity.
Here are three suggestions to keep in mind:
- Embrace the power of “please” and “thank you” – These little words hold huge power in conveying respect and gratitude. Remember to use them often in your daily interactions.
- Soften your language – For example, instead of bluntly saying “I can’t hear you,” opt for a more gentle approach like, “I’m sorry, I can’t quite hear you.” This subtle shift demonstrates empathy and consideration.
- Mind your online presence – Politeness shouldn’t be limited to face-to-face encounters. It’s equally important to be polite when texting, emailing, or engaging in online discussions.
3. Loosen Up
If you’re looking for an instant way to enhance your feminine image, here’s a simple secret: loosen up! This applies to both your body and your mind, and it can work wonders in unleashing your true feminine grace.
First, let’s focus on loosening up your body:
Women naturally possess a graceful, limber quality. If your body feels tense and tight, it can manifest in stiff, jerky movements that lack femininity. Here’s how you can loosen up:
- Consciously relax your body, especially your jaw and shoulders.
- Stretch your muscles on a daily basis.
- Take lots of deep, relaxing breaths.
These simple body-loosening techniques can do more to feminize your movements than all the hip shaking in the world!
Now, let’s shift our focus to loosening up your mind:
The happiest crossdressers and transgender women I know don’t get hung up on “passing” or trying to please everybody. Instead, they embrace who they are while constantly striving to improve themselves.
Life is short, so above all, relax and enjoy the journey!

Here’s what I do as a minimalist who will never transition:
1) I wear a simple unisex silver chain necklace for under £10 hidden underneath collared shirts. Sometimes I keep a loveheart keychain in my trouser pocket (I have anxiety, loneliness and depression)
2) I drink black or redbush tea (my go-tos) out of a macaroon mug but will soon get either a cute (maybe with lovehearts) or floral mug (I do gardening).
3) I use crystal deodorant (they’re unisex) and only use Vaseline lip balm when my lips need it.
these simple things personally help me feel less dysphoric but safe simultaneously, I find trying to look feminine too difficult and risky and feel safer closeted and others would be either none the wiser or less suspicious.
dear lucille without taking drugs or operations can you exercise to get bigger hips a breast like chest bigger butt there must be some way
I love putting on my makeup. Well, the finished product anyways. I like to put on my dress and wear my high heels too. I live alone out in the middle of nowhere so it’s easy to wake up and just go girlie! And talking like a woman.
I love wearing sexy nighties, panties, lip gloss, and and light make-up while listening to feminization videos.
Just let you gals know I’ve tried posting my picture on here but didn’t take}my way of loosing up is being kind to others and speaking lady like an trying not show off my male strength regardless it being guy’s or other females yes I to try be limber
I have a muscular body I hate because I have to do manual work I.would rather be one of the girls in the office I have big veiny hands love wearing the long nails at home but I could never pass has a woman what tips could you give me
You can pass any one can some can a little easy than other but you can pass I help a man pass as a woman if he can you can now
After an a football accident in junior high when my chest pad ended up hitting me in my throat, my voice really hasn’t changed since then; I really do not have the deep voice most men have when having gone through puberty. Now being over 71, my voice hasn’t deepened over the years and believe it or not, most times I am mistaken as a female. ; )
I’ve been more or less tossed out of my family’s home, “shunned” for over 21 years now and only a few people now know of me.
I have been out fully dressed several times however because of past injuries I am unable to wear the 4″ heels I loved so much, I had to give them away to someone who appreciates them. Now, I am lucky to wear 3″ heels and in some ways feel inadequate in not being able to wear higher. : (
My only other problem is having to shave. I have thought of electrolysis but being on restrictive funds make it nearly impossible and being 71 leaves my hair white so it is extremely light so using laser is out of the question. For the rest of the body, waxing is the only way now, I have done my legs (self-sugaring them works because it has cut down on the leg hair and now it is sparse now). I have a lot more body hair to be removed though; I just wish that I was truly female and not have to go through all of this.
