Do you go out in public as a woman?
If the answer is no, you’re not alone. Nearly 75% of my readers rarely or never leave the house en femme.
While going out en femme can be exciting and empowering, it’s not the only way to express your feminine side as a crossdresser or transgender woman.
Whether you choose to go out or keep it private, both options are valid!
This is an important topic, and I’d love to know what you think.
Where do YOU present yourself as a woman?
- Strictly in the privacy of your own home?
- At select places – like nightclubs, meetups, or conferences?
- Anywhere and everywhere as a full time woman?

My wife knows I dress but she is not favor so working the grave yard shift works good for me. She work all day tell evening. I guess that is better then cheeting on her. I love my wife and I love the dressing also. I already fill a B-cup bra. I feel good with my life. I love reading your letters thank you and keep helping us cross dressers.

Hi Lucille!
Great news re. your apt., and future web posts. I am one of the minority of fortunate girls who is out and about 24/7. After being in the closet-totally, for most of my adult life, till about the age of 46, I’ve made up for lost time, and have been totally out for past 6 1/2 years! Your a big reason I’ve had increasing confidence, and I think greater passibility. All the best in your new home, and growing business. Your THE ‘Rockstar’ to us TG girls!
Love,
Marian
Thank you, Marian! That means a lot to me. 🙂
I have been doing all the things on your list. Overcoming the initial fear is the only fence to climb and not run my stockings going over it.
I recall being frightened to death having just changed in the bathroom of a conference room rented by my support group. It was my first meeting. I was shaking. I finished my makeup and asked a fellow girl where do I wear my panties over or under my pantyhose? She laughed adn laughed and replied “Oh the million dollor question that perplexes every girl!”
She left me there and entered the conference room. I finally entered the room so scared. I was shaking in my skirt and heels. My first time in public.
As I looked round i saw the room was occupied only by all of us in our girl persona. I laughed. Every guy in the room was in a skirt. What was I so afraid about.
I immediately relaxed and shyly began mixing, being teased about my queston about pantyhose which Erica spread throughout the room.
Then I started the age old ritual every girl goes through every day and every occossion of her life. I started comparing myself to the other girls. I know. It was so fun being a little bit bitchy seeing some girls less attractive than I though I was. And envying others for their height and figures and taste in clothes.
After that is was one “out” adventure after another. Restaurants, driving in my car, weddings, parties, theatre, boatrides, walks in the city, shopping with girlfriends (gg’s) and our girls.
Once I did all that the rush to dress in public slowed down and I dress when I want too. Never when I need to. Alll the pieces come together when when you present your inner selves.
Molly
That’s a great story! Love the bit about the pantyhose. 😉 Yes, the pieces come together when you present your inner self.
Mostly at home alone and with friends on the Internet. I so want to go 24/7. 🙁

I DO NOT HIDE THE FACT I AM SOMEWHAT DIFFERANT FROM OTHERS BUT I DO NOT PUSH IT TO THOSES THAT FEEL UNCONF. I TRY NOT TO JUDGE OTHERS FOR THEIR LOOKS OR WHAT THEY DO. THANKS FOR YOUR SITE -TIM
Hi Lucille,
Hope all is ok with you. The only time I get to go femme is at a friends house or when I’m home alone. Some times when my wife is home. I enjoy your articles on being femme.
I would love to go femme all the time but my job and other factors prohibits it.
