I recently received a review copy of Angel the Assassin from author Jane B. Lee.
Considering the lack of quality transgender fiction, particularly transgender thrillers, I was excited to read this book!
Angel the Assassin is the story of Lisa, who began her trans journey at age 12.
Her father wants his son, Larry, back. As a former military sniper, he takes Larry/Lisa to be trained by snipers.
Supported by her mother, Lisa evolves from a vulnerable trans child into a strong, successful, and dangerous woman.
When drug runners kill her father, Lisa vows revenge. After her first hit, she is recruited by the CIA to assassinate drug lords traveling around the world.
Lisa goes back and forth between her preferred female identity, and her male identity, to escape those hunting her – all while falling in love with two different women and raising two families.
In her CIA world, someone is setting her up for death. Who is it, and why?
While I won’t give away the ending, let me just say that Angel the Assassin is a wild ride and worth the read! You can pick up a copy for yourself here.
Angel the Assassin is the 2nd book in the Love and Revenge series that also includes Book 1, Red’s Revenge.
