Do you go out in public as a woman?
If the answer is no, you’re not alone. Nearly 75% of my readers rarely or never leave the house en femme.
While going out en femme can be exciting and empowering, it’s not the only way to express your feminine side as a crossdresser or transgender woman.
Whether you choose to go out or keep it private, both options are valid!
This is an important topic, and I’d love to know what you think.
Where do YOU present yourself as a woman?
- Strictly in the privacy of your own home?
- At select places – like nightclubs, meetups, or conferences?
- Anywhere and everywhere as a full time woman?

I am very comfortable presenting myself as a woman. I am a professional public speaker who does motivational keynote speaking to women’s organizations. I pass very well.
That is wonderful.
My “other” answer on the email refers to walks on the streets at night. I live in a rural area so I can only do this when I travel. It is easy for me to pass when it’s fairly dark and it is a real thrill to know that others who see me assume I am a genetic woman. It is also a little bit scary. Walk a mile in a skirt on city streets and you will know why many women feel so vulnerable. I am not sure what I will do if I ever git hit on or worse by a suitor on one of my nightime walks.
Hi Jerri,
I lived through the same experience as I was a student in the US. I wasn’t usually too afraid of going out at night, even though I wasn’t particularly feminine-looking. I particularly remember one night when I took a walk on a main street and I got called “b**ch” more times than I could count, not to mention cat calls etc, from passing cars full of frat rats. I was not outrageously dressed at all — a bit tall (6’2 including 2-inch heels) perhaps, but in long red winter coat, rather long hair, but nothing to purposely attract attention to myself. I suddenly woke up to what life could be like for a girl. I’d never known fear to that degree before — and I was was a foreign student. I shudder when thinking about how the police would have dealt with me if I had gotten beat up — or worse — by any of these drunk frat boys. I didn’t walk the main drag (no pun) any more. Vulnerability is the word, unfortunately.
I wear my panties and bra everyday and dress up (sexy dress, heels, thigh top stockings, wig and makeup) only at home. Sometimes make a video of my self for my own entertainment!! Hee,Hee! Pretend I’m a movie star!
Hello everyone Jamie here ” I go anywhere at any time myself as a female or Femi, I even wave to the Nabours and chat in the street, take evening walks, I guess the fear of someone thinking I am not what I appear to be has long past” besides they”ll get over it soon” I am at the Local LIbrary today, and pumped Gas in my Car and stopped at the Post office today aswell. just live and enjoy being urselfs, others will realize your being ur self, besides it’s healthier for the soul to express who you really are inside.

I mostly dress at home alone. I did call a girl that owns a place that does makeovers for women. I told her I was a man, but wanted her services and she was OK with it and I went in and had a wonderful time. She answered questions I had about my make up and my color selections. She gave me enough confidence to go out shopping at s few different clothing stores.
Thanks, Lisa
I want to dress up for my better half but I have not thus far.Camile
