Do you go out in public as a woman?
If the answer is no, you’re not alone. Nearly 75% of my readers rarely or never leave the house en femme.
While going out en femme can be exciting and empowering, it’s not the only way to express your feminine side as a crossdresser or transgender woman.
Whether you choose to go out or keep it private, both options are valid!
This is an important topic, and I’d love to know what you think.
Where do YOU present yourself as a woman?
- Strictly in the privacy of your own home?
- At select places – like nightclubs, meetups, or conferences?
- Anywhere and everywhere as a full time woman?

I live totally full time and hope to complete my transition over the next year or so… 🙂
Oh, thanks, hun, but i didn’t have anything done yet. The only thing I do in that regard is a full regimen of hormones… I will be having several things done, however…
Let me know what to to do to have my work done as fast as I can? Can we be friends?
Hope to save money to do my work also. How did you find the money to get it done. I need hair work and am trying to whittle the waist a little.
I go out enfemme almost anywhere except work. I shop,go out to eat, movies, clubs,to the salons…anywhere! I’m the Chairperson of a local transgender group in Charlotte,N.C. and we go out everywhere. I do try to wear clothing to blend in where ever I’m at or going to. I think that is the number one thing transgender girls need to follow to fit in with society and other women. Diana
Looking good, my dear Diana!
Hey Michelle, I know what you mean! Do all that you can and be safe! If your in and around Charlotte sometime and would like to attend one of our meetings…(pm) me and I can give you some information. Diana
Diana, I’m in Hickory and as you know THIS area is very not TG friendly. I soldier on everyday, trying to prove them all wrong and closed minded
Thought I’m in transition is I haven’t gone full time in femme thought I do about a half form with shapers and tight jeans. I’ve gotten many complements on my looks and form, and my work and family are fully supportive of my choices. I haven’t gone full time female yet cause I want to perfect my voice.
Enjoying my life

Well, I tend to be in femme clothing everyday to at least some degree; it’s what I call stealth girl mode. Jeans or slacks, panties, and girl’s socks always, and often a woman’s T or blouse as well.
When I go all out, it’s ALL out! I’ll go to the salon (usually the local beauty college, it’s less expensive) and get the works. After that, I’ll usually do some shopping, then meet up with friends and go out to a movie or a club or something fun. I’ve even attended comic book conventions and spent the entire four-day weekend en femme, both in costume and out.
(.^_^.)
The one thing I am very proud of is I go every where as a woman because I am all woman and I am not ashamed of being seen and viewed as an object of enter beauty. I am a transgendered woman reborn 3 years ago and I have never been as happy as I am now, thank God I found myself just in the nick of time. Just remember to be true to yourself and life will take you the rest of the way.

Im out 24/7 since May 2010 and started hormones at the same time and absolutely love every minute of finally being a woman! We girls rock.
I like to go en femme to cultural events
here in San Francisco (ballet, opera,
symphony, museums). It is a lot of
fun to dress elegantly with the other
women. Other women have complemented
me on my outfits, which has lead to
conversations about the performance,
our outfits, where we shop, etc. I
really enjoy going out to these events.
I am as comfortable out in public as a female as male. I am always out shopping or dining out with a female friend. Several of the stores we shop at know me when dressed either way. I have been treated with only respect and treated as a female when addressed. My biggest “tell” is my speech. I really need to work on my voice.
