Are you excited to embrace your fabulous female self? Having the right tools is key!
While some transgender / crossdressing supplies are obvious, there are important items you might not have considered that can help you look and feel your best as a woman.
In this blog post, I share 10 must-have essentials for your male to female transformation journey.
1. Breast Forms
Breasts are arguably the most feminine part of a woman’s body.
If you don’t possess your own natural curves, then investing in a pair of breast forms is a must for any crossdresser or transgender woman. (Of course, you’ll also need a cute bra to put them in!)
2. Color Corrector
Dealing with a visible beard shadow can be a major challenge in putting your best face forward.
Although it may be tempting to camouflage it with thick concealer, the result never appears natural.
Instead, invest in a pink or red color corrector to help neutralize the tone of your beard shadow. This enables you to use less makeup and achieve a more natural and feminine appearance.
(Note: Check out The Makeup Magic Program for expert tips on concealing a beard shadow, using makeup to feminize your face, and so much more!)
3. Body Shaper
A body shaper is a versatile garment that offers multiple benefits, including waist trimming, belly flattening, and overall shape smoothing.
Body shapers come in a variety of styles. Opt for a brief style to wear under shorter skirts and a thigh-length style for pants and longer skirts.
To feminize your lower body, look for a body shaper with hip and butt padding to create the illusion of curves.
4. Perfume
The right perfume can make you feel irresistibly feminine!
The secret is to choose a fragrance that matches the qualities you want to express. Here are some simple guidelines:
- Go for floral scents if you want to express your romantic side.
- Choose oriental or woody scents if you want to bring out your inner seductress.

5. Black Pantyhose Or Tights
While bare legs may be fashionable, there’s nothing quite like the sophisticated appeal of hosiery. Classic black pantyhose or tights, in particular, are a style must-have.
When opting for pantyhose, choose the sheerest hose available and stick to jet black. Avoid shades like gray-black or brown-black.
Alternatively, you can go for opaque tights for a more casual and youthful look.
6. Lipstick
Studies show that a woman’s lips are considered the most attractive part of her body, particularly when accentuated with lipstick.
It goes without saying that lipstick is an essential item that will instantly make you look more feminine and attractive.
7. Classic Pumps
Shoes say more about you than any other accessory. When it comes to making a statement, you can’t go wrong with a timeless pair of black pumps.
Classic black pumps exude sexiness, femininity, and work well with many types of clothes.
8. Moisturizer
Due to higher testosterone levels, males tend to have rougher skin compared to women.
That’s why it’s essential to incorporate a daily facial moisturizer into your routine, whether you’re presenting as your feminine self or not.
By using moisturizer regularly, you can achieve smoother-looking skin and enhance the application and longevity of your makeup.
9. Little Black Dress
The little black dress is a wardrobe staple every crossdresser and transgender woman should own. A simple black dress in a flattering length can go from day to night and will never go out of style.
10. Attitude
Lastly, the key to it all is your attitude – and it’s absolutely crucial!
The way people treat you often reflects how you expect to be treated. So, embrace your femininity and radiate fabulousness with confidence. You deserve nothing less, girlfriend!

You have them all right! A few other things you should have in your drawer are full length satin slips, cami’s and half slips, maybe a babydoll. Sometimes if you are just starting out crossdressing you should get a set of silk tights, nude, then get a nice black pair of control top pantyhose to finish the look! Make sure you get the right size, too tight pantyhose can make you unhappy 🙁
I disagree about the pantyhose. Control Top are out. Only wear Sheer to Waist pantyhose. The slips I agree with, although some slips make excellent outerwear such as wearing as a skirt, providing there is little to no lace at the hem to give it away.
One thing I do all the time is save the samples of perfume that come in the mail. I am on the road a lot so I just store them in the car and use one when I like to smell a little feminine. They are never overpowering but I can smell them a little and know that’s me!
I just have to say. You have been a blessing in my journey to fem life. I’m grateful to the Cross-Dresser community and to everyone willing to do anything in there power and hearts to help. I’m sad to say, I haven’t been able to be my girly self since I got in school, as soon has I have the funds and the time… Actually I have been thinking of going en-fem for Halloween. I just wanted to say, Thank You, all of you for keeping me going even in the bleakest times of my Journey, Our Journey. XOXO
Regarding Breast Forms, – is there somewhere that caters to those of us that actually, somehow grew our own? Although what I have is wonderful, they’re not really up to the proper size for my frame/body. I have a very good pair, but the concave back is not nearly concave enough. They fit kind of like putting a pancake on top of a ice cream cone – not really the right fit.
lucille honey,
i’ve been on the fenugreek and wild yam for 6 months and my babies went from a 48 flat to a 48 b. i love my boobs.
in fact, i going to have a lifestyle lift to feminize my face too and as a gurl in waiting, i’m scheduling grs surgery for next fall. then i’ll be a woman and not a gurl. damn, i’m so excited, i almost peed my panties.
yu have helped me sooooo much in my journey. BUT, it’s never too late to do this. i’m 70 and if i live to be 75, it will be the happiest 5 years of my life.
kisses,
geri danielle

As always great advice. Please keep up the great work that you do for us ladies. Thanks to you and your advice I’m not afraid to go anywhere. I go out all the time to the stores, restraints wherever. I president my self as a woman I’m treated like one. I have men and women trying to pick me up. And It’s all by doing what lucille suggest. Thank you thank you thank you. Love ya.
You have to feel it. Breast-forms, panty-girdles and the like are self-defeating. Sure, I look alot better with 38Cs of silicone stuffed into a body-briefer, over a boned waist-cincher, and under a padded panty. The outfit gives me a more female figure. But I never became female until I threw that crap away, and started to feel like a girl. You’re not going into a football game in uniform and pads.
I have to agree somewhat,at least for TS. Women come in all sizes and shapes and all sexes vary greatly in the ratio of X to Y. Just be the girl you are, tomboy to fashion plate I feel just as good about myself in a pair of shorts or pants with a polo or sweater as I do in a skirt and frilly top. My shape falls a little on the heavy side but everyone sees me as a woman. But I’ve got to admit. It feels so much better when your own natural breasts fill the bra cup. It sure makes the girls happy.
