Some of the best examples of beauty and grace come from the leading ladies of Old Hollywood.
Ready to add some vintage glamour to your feminization journey? Here are 6 timeless tips from Old Hollywood to inspire your MTF transformation or transition!
1. Joan Crawford – Tip: Good Hair Goes a Long Way
“I think that the most important thing a woman can have – next to talent, of course – is her hairdresser.” – Joan Crawford
Few things have a bigger impact on your appearance than your hair. This applies whether you wear a wig or style your own natural hair.
If you want to look younger, prettier, and more feminine, the right hairstyle is the secret. Here are the 6 best hairstyles for crossdressers and transgender women.
2. Sophia Loren – Tip: Believe That You Are Beautiful
“Nothing makes a woman more beautiful than the belief that she is beautiful.” – Sophia Loren
No amount of lipstick, hairspray, or surgery can truly make you beautiful if you don’t feel it within yourself.
Instead of comparing yourself to others, concentrate on your own unique beauty and femininity. Follow Sophia Loren’s wisdom and believe in your own beauty!
3. Audrey Hepburn – Tip: Always Be Elegant
“Elegance is the only beauty that never fades.” – Audrey Hepburn
Who could be more elegant than Audrey Hepburn herself? With her sophisticated style and graceful demeanor, she’s one of my favorite examples of ladylike elegance.
If you want to emulate Audrey Hepburn, you can start by avoiding these 5 mistakes that make you less ladylike.
4. Eartha Kitt – Tip: Don’t Worry About the Haters
“I have used all the manure that has been thrown on me as fertilizer to make me stronger.” – Eartha Kitt
If there are people in your life who don’t understand you, rest assured that you are not alone. Even somebody as fabulous and gorgeous as Eartha Kitt had her share of haters.
Instead of letting them get you down, use their negativity as fuel to help you grow stronger.
5. Marilyn Monroe – Tip: Find Your Signature Scent
“What do I wear in bed? Why, Chanel No. 5, of course.” – Marilyn Monroe
Scent is closely tied to our emotions, making perfume a powerful tool. Applying a scent that makes you feel fantastic can boost your confidence and enhance your sense of beauty.
Take a tip from Marilyn Monroe and find your own signature scent for that extra touch of confidence and femininity.
6. Mae West – Tip: Live Life to the Fullest
“You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough.” – Mae West
Choosing to embrace the woman within is a bold decision. You should be applauded for this! Many people never dare to express their deepest desires or true selves.
As Mae West said, you only live once. So, live life to the fullest, embracing your feminine self every step of the way.

I like Sophia Loren’s comment about seeing yourself as beautiful. I am my worst critic thinking that I have to look perfect, or more feminine.Other people see me that way but I don’t all the time—my hair is wrong, not enough make up, I should have worn a skirt today even though it is cold outside, on and on.
Some days I wake up and I am a man. Other days I wake up and I start to put on my makeup after showering and am a complete woman. I am not a crossdresser, just totally bigender. I go anywhere and everywhere I please here in Las Vegas as a woman. No one bothers me in any woman’s restroom for anywhere else in this city. I go to the restroom, do my business, and then stand in front of the mirror next to the other gals and straighten my clothes and hair and touch up my makeup when necessary. I owe most of this ability to present properly to my cosmetologist, Christina. She has always been totally accepting of me and she is my role model. I see her for my bi-weekly mani/pedi, wig style and occasional makeup application for special nights out. She’s a role model because she is a well built, dominate female who has let it be known that she will take down anyone who makes negative comments on me as a girl.
Forgot to attach a picture. BTW, I’m 73 years old.
I was mesmerized with Barbara Eden.
All women of old and new have some unique qualities of being a women. I look at all women and look in how they dress. Hi Trisha, I too had health problems and a blood disorder. Had a pulmonary embolism at 58 and came very close to dying. It was then that I knew I had to be honest with myself and seek help with gender dysphoria also. Doctors confirmed that testosterone was exasperating my conditions. Been on hrt for 6+ years and my dysphoria subsided, and I haven’t been sick since. For me, it was what my body and mind needed. Of course I have blood tests done every 4 months to monitor. It is possible to be on hrt safely.
It starts in the subconscious for me .Training and reinforcement give me the mindset to excel.Attention to detail increases my femininity.Like others have stated it is being feminine in one’s own way is what matters. This site is so educational. There are other sources that help.Continuing growth is ever present. The glow of femininity resides inside and out.It is how I feel that counts the most.

Of course Victor Victoria with Julie Andrews, a woman pretending to be a man who was pretending to be a woman. It was her and then when I decided I wanted to let it out and be the woman I can be. Just took many years to do. Me and my mom would watch the old movies all the time.
Brigitte Bardot hands down.
A few years ago Lucille advised us that if were wearing hosiery that it should be the nude kind. At the time I disagreed because I was wearing a brownish tint. Recently I switched to nude and Lucille was right. My legs look more natural and they look much sexier. Lucille has made me a much better women and continuasly get great compliments on my appearance.
Aw, thank you Tiffany! I think it’s important to wear whatever makes YOU feel best. But one can never go wrong with the natural, sexy look.
