Age is a popular topic around here and I’m occasionally asked…
“Am I too old to crossdress?” or “Am I too old to transition as a transgender woman?”
My response?
NO, of course not!
Whether you are a so-called mature crossdresser – or an older MTF woman beginning her transition – it is NEVER too late to be your true female self.
I believe that the true desires or your heart are meant to be expressed – no matter how long they’ve been buried.
Is it true that your age may have an impact on hormone therapy or surgery? Yes, that’s possible. But a good doctor will guide you on your best and safest options.
The fact remains that you can transition and/or present yourself as a woman at any point in life.
In fact, embracing your feminine side can give you a whole new lease on life…
I see it all the time: People seem to grow years younger when they make the decision to be themselves fully.
Having the courage to express your true self also inspires others to do the same. The world needs more of this!
In the words of Laverne Cox:
“It is revolutionary for any trans person to choose to be seen and visible in a world that tells us we should not exist.”
I’ll say it again: You are NEVER too old to be your true female self.
So, I encourage you to take that next step and do whatever it is that you’ve been holding back on.
You deserve it. And it’s not too late!
Do you agree that age is just a number?
Now I’d love to hear from YOU on this topic…
How old were you when you decided to fully embrace your female self? (Or are you still waiting?)
Let’s continue the conversation in the comments below!
Love,
Lucille

Here I am over 70 and about to start on hormone treatment next week after 5 months living full time as a woman and many months part time. Many changes – including a name change as required by my NHS Gender Clinic doctor. In the future – FFS and GRS, in that order.
I was diagnosed with Gender Dysphoria three years ago after a lifetime knowing I had been born in the wrong body and I’m looking forward to all the changes, whatever they may be.
I am lucky as I have the support of my extended family (including my wife for whom I bought a house nearer her family as she was uncomfortable about living with me once I’d transitioned) and many friends and colleagues.
Exciting and a little scary…
I think it’s your party dress for it “76”
I started transitioning at 43, hormones at 48. I started living full time with name and gender change at 60. I’ve never been happier!
I started in High School an still cross dress today at 63.
Well I still cross-dress and I’m 68. This picture was taken within the last year. I find the most important element to looking half decent is to be slim.
I’ve started at the age of 48. Still haven’t came totally out of closet yet, but am working on getting breasts bigger.

Jana you and the other ladies all look wonderful! Thought I would throw my 2 cents in…although a girl I thought never discloses her age! *hehe I just turned 50 this year and so far no signs of slowing me down. I have been dressing since I was 6 yrs old (way before the net) My wife has been totally supporting me these past 12 years since I told her. She says she actually lOVES having the BEST of both worlds now! So I am truly blessed! ***I had to learn a lot of things on my own and what Lucille teaches here are all GREAT tips for anyone aspiring to be their inner feminine self. She knows what she is talking about. I have also been on natural hormones the past 4 years and have breast development as well as other feminine features. Good luck to all of you in your quest and don’t let AGE or anything else hold you back! ~ Jennifer Lynn Styles : )
You are without a doubt a woman, you have to be.
When I enlarged your photo my reaction was, “Oh my God!” You look wonderful yourself! You are 100% passable my dear. (Something I wish I could be).
