The right pair of shoes can instantly transform the way you look, feel, and walk. That’s why a girl can never own too many pairs!
Of course, not all shoes are created equal and some styles are much more flattering and feminizing than others.
That’s why in this blog post, I’ve compiled the top 7 shoe styles for crossdressers and transgender women.
From classy high heels to comfortable flats, here are the best MTF shoes to enhance your feminine image.
1. Classic Black Pumps
What could be more chic than a pair of classic black pumps? They add a polished look to any outfit, making them a feminine wardrobe staple.
For the most mileage, choose a closed-toe, full back style with a heel that’s high enough to help loosen up your hips as you walk.
2. Ballet Flats
You don’t have to wear high heels to look feminine!
Ballet flats are a fantastic option, especially if you’re on the taller side or want to look pretty and stylish without sacrificing comfort.
3. D’Orsay Pumps
The d’Orsay is a beautiful and elegant pump style in which the sides are cut away to reveal the arch of the foot.
D’Orsay pumps are perfect for showing off shapely legs – an asset for most crossdressers and transgender women.
4. T-Straps
T-straps add a sexy touch to pumps, high heel sandals, and flats. T-strap shoes have two distinct benefits:
- The ankle strap offers extra support for your ankles, making them easier to walk in than other heels.
- The vertical line created by the center strap draws the eye upwards, making your legs look longer.
5. Nude Heels
If you’re on a budget, nude heels will give you the most mileage since they can be worn with literally any color of outfit.
Choose a nude tone that blends in with your skin to make your legs look miles long – an added bonus!
6. Wedges
Still trying to master walking in heels? Then consider a wedge heel. Since the sole covers more ground, they’re much easier to walk in.
One caveat: Wedges have a chunky look, so they are best for those with thinner legs. Stay away from them if you have large or muscular legs.
7. Tall Boots
Boots are sexy and sassy, so they’re a wardrobe must.
Choose knee high boots for the most elegant look. Tall boots are more flattering and slimming than ankle boots or boots that hit the middle of the calf.
Let’s talk shoes!
Of course, these 7 shoe styles are only the beginning! While all of these options are fantastic, the best shoes are the ones that make YOU look and feel your best.
I could talk about shoes for days, so let’s keep the conversation going!
Take my poll and then and share a photo of yourself wearing your favorite shoes in the comments below!

Hi Ladies,
I have always LOVED wearing sexy heels and have had no problem walking in 6″ heels, until, I had my big toe amputated this summer. When I healed I could not walk in a 2″ heel, let alone anything taller, and I love my 55 pairs of sexy heels. I feel so feminine wearing them and love the sa’shay they give to my walk. The guys don’t seem to mind as well. So, I am now re-training my foot with a prosthetic for to walk in heels, you would be surprised how much your big toe supports your foot in heels.
I like tennis shoes best….I am 6’0″ tall and don’t wish to look gargantuan….lol. Plus I don’t go a ton of places that allow me to wear dressy shoes. I am not a social type…pretty much when not at work I am a home body…..seems like the only way to stay safe these days. Otherwise if I go out everything clashes with my 45 auto which is holstered to my side.

I absolutely love heels. My favorite out the seven shown are the D’Orsay pumps. These are to die for! I also have and adore everything open toe.Heels rule!!! Have a darling day gurls.Femforever.
Hello all, I have 47 pairs of shoes. Whooweeeee! Never had anyone ask how many shoes I had before. This isn’t counting those I’ve worn out and thrown out the remnants of either. I am shocked I have this many myself. I NEVER had shoes in this number before discovering my fem self. Of all my shoes, I have 8 pair of flats, 3 pair or wedgies, 1 pair of espadrilles, 1 pair of those sexy D’Orsays (but I hate wearing them!! UGH!) 1 pair of 5″ “Come get me” heels, liesure shoes like tennies, deck shoes, mules and like 30 pairs of various kinds of other heels….and a cartridge in a bare tree. Yes, I’m a shooter too and believe me, you do not want to be on a range in the slightest of heels! Goodness how I get the looks at ranges lol. Lots of really nice guys there too! Anyway, I don’t own any boots. Never liked them myself, but I’m going to have to get at least a pair. For girls like us though, I find it difficult to find boots that fit even on line for a reasonable price. I’d be broke paying $100 a pair for shoes or more than $150 for boots. I think I’d go crazy. Anyone has shoes of any kind for big bucks if you don’t care about your money, but with Payless now gone, it’s that much harder to even find shoes in my size. Not something I can get at Target’s or any of the million of independent places around. I’m sure any one of us could write a whole book about shoes too. Ahhh, the good old days too when you went a couple blocks to a Thom McCann store. Everyone is now at the Mall. Pity to lose Americana…sigh…. OK…..I’m off the soap box….sorry to be so long winded ladies…..
I love your slippers so much I own a pair!
Yes Jenny! I love these a lot. I have them almost worn out too unfortunately. Thank you for the comment! I just went thru an Avon catalog and their shoe sizes stop at 11. Not sure where I’m going to get a replacement pair. I got these at Payless shoes for like $10 and they were hanging on the wall! You know, like where they put the cheap shoes like flip flops. They were calling my name lol. Best $10 on a pair of shoes I ever spent. I’ve worn them everywhere too. Oh well, I’ll have to let you know if I see replacements. Have a great day sweetie!
i have huge feet. i’m 6’5 and wear a size 12 in mens shoes, so finding womens shoes for me is next to impossible, that is the reason why i own 0 shoes that arent mens
About size 11-12 in women’s not much difference in size between men’s and women’s….I wear a 12 men’s women’s 11
I have over a hundred pairs of shoes 80% are high heels.
I love then.
I really don’t like flats but will wear them but not by choice.
