Whether you’re a crossdresser or a MTF transgender woman, wearing lingerie is a great way to connect with your female self.
How can you NOT feel totally girly in a pretty lace bra and panties? But let’s face it… It’s hard to hide your flaws when you are practically naked!
In this blog post on transgender / crossdresser lingerie, I share some simple tips and tricks to help you look and feel your best in feminine lingerie. Read on to learn more!
1. Get The Right Fit
Nothing will destroy your image faster than saggy bra cups or too-tight panties creating a “muffin top.” That’s why it’s so important to choose lingerie that fits properly.
Here are some tips to ensure that you have the right fit:
- Your bra and panties should fit snug, but should never dig into your skin. (That’s how you get ugly bulges.)
- Be sure to check your bra cups – they should fit smoothly over your breasts or breast forms.
- Wrinkled bra cups means you need a smaller cup size. I got into depth on how to find your correct bra size in this article.
Having a hard time finding a bra that fits? Try the Flatter Me Bra by Itty Bitty Bra. It’s specially designed for those with smaller breasts and broader body proportions, so it’s ideal for crossdressers and transgender women.
2. Flatter Your Shape
The #1 secret to looking hot in lingerie is to hide your flaws while highlighting your assets. Here are some flattering pieces to consider:
- Babydoll lingerie – Babydoll lingerie is sweet and sexy and best of all, it’s great for hiding an ample belly or full midsection.
- Ruffled panties – Do you wish you had more curves? Ruffled panties feminize your figure by adding fullness to the hips and behind.
- Kimono robe – Slip on a sexy kimono to hide broad shoulders. Look for a sheer style so you can disguise your upper body while still showing some skin.
3. Complement Your Skin Tone
Color has a dramatic effect on your appearance (and your mood), so choose wisely.
The most important thing is to choose colors that complement your skin tone:
- White and black are popular lingerie colors, but they tend to make pale skin look even more pasty.
- Nude tones and bright colors flatter most skin tones.
Have some fun with this! Choose colors that make you feel sexy, girly, vampy – or whatever aspect of your personality you want to channel that day.
4. Be Impeccable With Your Grooming
Unwanted body hair can definitely distract from a sexy, feminine image. If you’re going to wear lingerie, be sure your grooming habits are up to par.
Here are some tips to consider:
- Shave or wax regularly.
- Exfoliate several times per week to avoid ingrown hair.
- Apply body lotion daily so you are always prepared to show some skin.

I agree. Since I was a boy (girl?) I have always loved the feeling of pantyhose. I tried garters, and while they may look good, they don’t feel as feminine to me as full pantyhose that hug my ass and groin. I’ve even worn nude pantyhose with my man silky nylon basketball shorts in summer! And guess what! Not one person said anything to me. Not one.
“Corey”…What About Wearing A Bra and Panties ?…I Agree, Wearing Pantyhose Is Great.
I love pantyhose / Fishnets feel very girly in them and sometimes a nice bra to go with them. that is just the best
Lucille, I love panties because they make me feel ultra chastised!
A nightie always makes me feel like I’m at my most feminine and sexy.

Although I like wearing pretty bras and panties I just didn’t feel like I was doing everything that I could to make myself look like a woman. When I looked at myself in the mirror all I could see was a male wearing ladies underwear.
Although it helped me to feel somewhat feminine I knew that there has to be something more than just wearing a bra and putting on a pair of panties to transform me futher.
One day quite by accident I was looking on line and came across the answer to my problem
It was a soft latex pair of shorts with a prosthetic vagina built-in it
Reading the discription of it and seeing the price was fair I decided to get it.
Lucille I have to tell you that it was probably the best purchase that I’ve ever made.
When it arrived in the mail and I saw it I immediately knew that this is what I’ve been missing.
When I put it on and looked at myself in the mirror I couldn’t believe how real that it looked.
I must have stood there looking at myself for hours and seeing myself with a vagina was so exciting and it changed my appearance like nothing else has ever done
It has a mesh fabric covering on it that can be worn or removed
I like to remove it and wear a pair of pastel bikini panties instead of the mesh covering.
When I look at myself now it looks so much more feminine then just tucking my male parts
It actually looks like I have a vagina and
after I’m wearing it for a few minutes it warms up and becomes soft and moves with me when I am walking or sitting down
I highly recommend it to anyone who sees themselves like there is something missing in their look
It’s not expensive and it really changes your appearance and mind set about yourself.
I too share that same feeling of being just a “Cock-in-a-frock” (as they say in the UK…)
Can you share the name of said miracle item?
Love,
Helena.
I have a white full slip with lace top. As soon as I put it on my nipples get hard! I use it as a nightgown. Bras are also sexy when you wear under male clothing and leave an extra button open on shirt!!!
“Charles”…Since I Always Wear My Bras (With Matching Panties)…I Make Sure That It Shows…Being A 46B/46C-Cup Bra Wearer…It Always Shows My Cleavage.
Hey does it make me a tranny ?
I absolutely adore Chantelle lingerie from France. I wear a 40D bra and size 18 panties (UK sizing) I partially like the Rive Gauche design. The lady who owns a lingerie boutique in a small market town here in the UK recommended this style when I had a recent fitting. Chantelle lingerie is very well made and soooo feminine chic
