It’s amazing how much our names shape our identities. Some names feel like a perfect fit from the start, while others never quite resonate with us.
However, crossdressers and transgender women have the unique opportunity to choose their own feminine names.
Every great MTF name has a story behind it, and I’d love to hear YOURS.
How did you choose your feminine name?
Please tell us your story in the comments below, and if you can, share a photo too. It’s always lovely to put a face to a name!
Love,
Lucille
I’ve always liked the name ‘Genevieve’. There’s something regal about it. I never even new I was trans at that name. Later, when I did discover that I was trans, I already had a name picked out.
Chose Dianne as my 1st name. Just soundedicated right.

Thank you very much
My name is Kristine Catherine Brown, I consider myself transgender and have no problem admitting it. I have shared myself with many friends and some family. As long as have memories I always knew I was a girl, I fought that thinking oh I’m heterosexual just like to be pretty. Anyway when I was in my late twenties I was just being me, Jeff from nowhere the name Kristine seemed so natura. I actually did not pick it may sound weird but that’s how it happened. Middle name was chosen by me, Catherine was my mom’s middle name. Anyway loved the topic very interesting
I chose my first name to match one of my favorite female friends in high school and it kind of goes with my former dead name of Tom. My middle name is one my mom gave her other two daughters. The last name is my moms maiden name. Dad passed without recognizing me and my mom had a serious stroke but here I am, Tamara Maria Tamas!
my birth name was leslie james , so too mind that was easy, so I changed it to leslie jane, & that suits me fine. love & best wishes
Love it!
I chose my feminine name because of a cute girl that I knew in high school. We knew each other by name but that was the extent of it. Also it felt very Irish to me and I love Ireland so it kind of fit.
Sorry forgot the pic.
I choose my from favorite super hero, my favorite bird, and actor Robin Leach. I change the spelling a bit. But I also like because a Robin is red, and that is my favorite color. But have trouble figuring out a middle name. So I would appreciate any help you can get me.
